Experienced on the Oculus Rift with Touch Controllers
Another Multiplayer VR game on life support. If you're wondering, the game is basically dead. I tried getting a multiplayer game on a Sunday night and I was the only player in the lobby. That's rather unfortunate, because this seems like a very good, fun game for MP, although that is almost pure speculation on my part as there was no bots to play against and it was mostly me just flying around the map alone. The good news is that there is a singe player campaign. The campaign is 15-30 minutes long depending on your skill. I would advise taking 30 minutes, look around, take in the sights, do not rush to kill stuff as that may be all the time you spend in this game. I don't blame the devs. They made a really, solid game, think Iron Man PvP or coop in VR with a girl and a dragon too. The single player campaign was fun. But life isn't fair and there's still just not enough VR headsets on Steam. I hope there is soon. I hop...

About This Game
Multiplayer VR flying FPS game
BattleSky VR is a Multiplayer VR shooter game, bringing Overwatch style gameplay to the VR platform. Each player picks a Hero with vastly different size, powers and gameplay style to engage in fast-paced aerial combats against other players. Play online against other players with classic Team Deathmatch, Team Escort, Free For All, Attack and Defend, and other team based modes of up to 4v4 players! Pick your Heroes wisely, your unique powers will determine gameplay strategies as you team up to defeat the opponents!Viveport Developer Award 2018
BattleSky VR is the winner of the Viveport Developer Award 2018, placing second under the Arcade category.Which Hero do you want to be?
Currently, 3 Heroes are available for use: Draco, Jet-9 and Lady V. Will you flap your wings to soar through the sky and shoot fireballs as Draco? Or, zoom through the sky with the hand thrusters as Jet-9? Or "Blink" Teleport around the sky and summon black Hole with Lady V's Gravity Gun? As we develop the game further during Early Access, we look forward to YOUR feedback and suggestions as we add more Heroes, each with unique flying and battle capabilities.

Single Player Mission Mode
Each Hero will have a single player mission mode where you'll learn the back story about the Heroes, and get familiar with the controls and the unique Flying Locomotion.Co-op missions
We are adding new co-op missions that allow 1-4 players to team up against A.I. Our first Co-op mission is Co-op escort. Players team up to escort an airship to the destination while fighting off A.I. We will be adding more co-op modes as we develop the game.Unique VR Locomotion
The game’s unique hyper-speed flying locomotion mechanisms had been tested by over 1300 testers, and has been fine-tuned to allow nausea-free extreme high speed flying (imagine flying at 200 km/h). Less than 5% of our testers and players have experienced motion sickness with our locomotion systems. With 3 heroes currently, and 1 more planned for the game by the time we exit Early Access, players will be sure to find a hero that matches their play style. Depending on the community's response, we will look to add more Heroes based on the community's input.Early Access
We want to engage the gaming community during Early Access and continue to add more Heroes, Maps, and Gameplay Modes as we develop the game continuously. We look forward to your feedback and help us shape this unique VR game. Please see the "Early Access" section for what content will be available at launch of Early Access. Our Ultimate Goal
Our goal is to create a Multiplayer VR FPS game that will define a new generation of e-Sport. We hope to co-create with YOU a game that has depth, encourages strategic gameplay, and is just awesome and unlike any other experiences on VR. Please see the "Early Access" section for what content we plan to complete by the time we exit Early Access.VR
This game requires a VR system. The game will initially only support HTC Vive when we start Early Access. The game works with Oculus, we have implemented a swipe-to-turn feature to rotate the view. WMR: playable but may lose hand tracking when certain hand motions go beyond the field of view.Screenshots
User Reviews
This game is extremely fun to play. Once you figure out all of the mechanics, this game will get your heart pumping and time will fly by. I played with a group of 4 for 2 hours straight. The game is better the more people are in the game, but it was still extremely fun even if you are doing 1 on 1 battles. This game just came out today in Early Access so there were some bugs here and there, but they were all fixed by leaving the room and re-entering. I did not experience anything game breaking. The game runs really well. I did not notice any lag while zooming in the sky and the online experience worked great with very low latency and good voice quality. This game has a lot of potential to be a VR game that I play daily if the community starts building up. Speaking of that, here are some things I would improve. 1. The community, this game hasn't been heavily advertised, so the community does have to start from a small group. I would hope that more updates and positive reviews will help...
I jumped into my first outing with BattleSky VR and I had a blast. I can't believe how fast I can move with out getting sick. I played some two on two escort mode which was a lot of fun and then a little free for all where the other players were helping me out with the controls.
I tried BattleSky out of pure curiosity, finally something fresh to do after so many wave shooters in VR. This is a solid foundation for a great game. I only tried the multiplayer part which is what I'm more interested in and I had a blast playing as a dragon and biting heads off! In Battlesky you have an aerial battle in the sky. Right now you can choose between two characters: A dragon and an Iron Man type of character which actually has Iron Man flying mechanics. It's very easy to get the hang off and the dragon actually has a flapping mechanic. It's quite funny to play. The best part: I did not get any motion sickness at all! Kudos to the developer for making this. Recommended.
This game is (curently) not really optimized for Oculus Touch. I turned on the option to rotate via the right stick, but it's not working. The first "mission" with Jet-9 was nice and I had fun until the dragon appears because of some bugs. This is more a tutorial than a solo mission (only around 15 minutes). I also tried to test the race mode but I didn't find a way to flight with the dragon, maybe also a problem with the oculus touch. Please insert also a single mission for the dragon to explain how to handle it. The multiplayer is nice to play but could be better. I expected more but the multiplayer and the flying with Jet-9 is a big pro and working really great. I never thought that fying with a jet pack is possible without sickness, so it's absolut funtastic! 10 buck is also very cheap/fair but please keep in mind you will get (currently) an beta (multiplayer) and an alpha version (solo). For Oculus you need a third sensor because of the not working swing-to-turn. I changed m...
Awesome! One of the funnest experiences I've had in VR so far. I have so much more respect for Iron Man after playing this. Controls are on point and I have a ton of fun each time I fire it up. The only thing it lacks is more players for multiplayer, but the devs are working to add AI bots last I heard.
Just played for about 20 minutes. Very neat game mechanic. Actually takes practice. Made me instantly nauseus though. I fought through it because I thought the experience otherwise was pretty fun. Playing with 1080ti and 7700k and oculus. I wish the textures were better at their highest setting. Respawn back to the beginning was a bummer when you are trying not to throw up. Giving it the thumbs up though, just want to give a heads up about the motion sickness some may have...
game looks runs on "fantastic" settings on 290x the game looks promising but the way you have to use your hands makes it hard for WMR headset to track .
Very early review but this game so far is a lot of fun. Flying becomes very intuitive very quickly and the tutorial level was more fleshed out than i exepected considering most time is spent in the air. Looking forward to multiplayer. The weapon effects definetely need a little more punch. But so far, looking good.
Hi. Could you please add a possibility to have a private game? We've been playing this game for about a year, but sometimes we can't go further than a lobby cuz someone created it already but didn't activated a "ready to start" button. Today we've been waiting for an hour to start. A private game would really solve that kind of problems. Thanks)
