WRC 7 FIA World Rally Championship

Now, I realize that review is a bit late to the party. Coming from Dirt 2 this game feels off. The car's responsiveness, the damage system, the handling, the terrain it just isn't that good. At first the car does feel like sliding on the surfaces, like everything is covered in ice, but I just can't agree with all these snowflakes who gave the game a thumbs down after an hour or so. They didn't even try to get into the game. Because after a while the gameplay does start to click. And then the game starts providing the same kick that Dirt 2 provides: inducing that sweet trance-like state, where driver and car become one and there's only you and the road. Your great performance on the road is just an epiphenomenon, an after-effect of entering that state for prolonged durations. The game tests your ability not to drive, but to focus and if you can the game will reward you and your brain will reward you. it'a alright as far as WRC games go, but WRC 5 is better

I admit my expectations for this game were high but it just falls short in terms of pure drive feel compared to something like Dirt Rally 2.0. Thanks but no thanks I'll just keep playing Dirt Rally 2.0

Game is great if you're like me, a casual rally enjoyer who plays on pad and is still rockin' a 1060. $3 on sale is the best bang for your buck on Steam, imho. Runs great on Linux, too.

crashes all the time... pretty hard for a casual player (lot of narrow roads)
