My "First Play on Launch Day" First Impressions REVIEW Video: https://youtu.be/VFzM9fHx73M Not only does this game get my "recommend" but it scored a whopping 95% using my unique scoring criteria that puts the "value" a game delivers as the highest part of the score (40% of my overall score is based on gaming "bang for your dollar"). I rated this game as my first "Must Buy!" game of 2017 and here's why.. A) While the game doesn't offer a lot of fancy options or menus at this early access launch release, it does deliver super fluid and responsive controls that are a joy to play whether you use a controller or the mouse & keyboard. B) The procedural level generation and special abilities mean that no two games will be exactly the same and will give this game a replay value that you'd only expect in games costing much more. C) Challenging and progressive gameplay that rewards you for quick timing and risking your health to get out of dangerous situations. D) The art style and music ...

First Impression Gameplay: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BvjiiqGeiMA The Cursed Revolver is a fun little rogue-like shooter with a top down perspective and "Don't Starve' looking graphics. Even in early access (in it's current state) I believe this game is worth the asking price of $2.00. [h1]PROS[/h1] -Pleasant looking graphics/artwork -Good music and audio -Controls are very responsive (with game-pad support) -Multiple unlock-able abilities and ammo types, as well many enemies to encounter -Decent price point -Using abilities in exchange for health makes situations interesting and encourages risk-vs-reward gameplay [h1]CONS[/h1] Sometimes enemies will get stuck on the opposite side of the play area (caught up on a cactus for instance). The action takes a brief pause during these situations as you search for the last enemy to kill. Pauses in action generally hurt a game like this (which is meant to be fast paced).

Great mechanics and art style would support a sequel

[*] Solid Mechanics (Loved that you have to reload) [*] Risk vs Reward Gameplay [*] Great Soundtrack [*] Visuals are awesome! [*] Pretty difficult, even on normal difficulty mode. (Which is awesome, some games should require skill IMO) [/list] Only criticism I have is that I wish there was an indicator (maybe there is and I didn't notice it) that would show which direction the last few enemies were. I've had to fully explore a few levels looking for the last enemy that wasn't chasing toward me for whatever reason. Overall, I definitely think this is well worth the price and I'll be playing a lot more of it going forward! Thanks for reading!

This run-and-gun shooter is super fun. Definitely worth it for the price. Having different level setups every time you play, as well as being able to customize which abilities you use keeps the game fresh and exciting in different playthroughs. One thing that could be improved is giving a direction of where enemies are. Sometimes I found myself wandering through the stages trying to find where the last few enemies were. Other than that, solid and fun game. Would definitely recommend!

Addicting gameplay that requires fast reflexes. Reminiscent of Diablo but with a unique twist. The enemies come at you quickly which keeps it exciting.

Great value for the money. A fun "horde" style game that requires good resource management and reflexes.

The game was published half-baked and was never finished. Don't spend your money on this cash grab.

I played this game at a recent convention, I LOVED IT! There are somethings I wish they put in, like an indicator on where the enemies are, or screen turns red when you're low on health. After the convention I came home and I bought it instantly. Get it now or you will regret it. The price will be a lot higher for an amazing game. 10/10 Would play more. (My computer cant really play it but i love it)
