Performance could be better at times but it's really solid still considering it does not utilise DLSS / FG. It does a lot better than Remnant 2 - it also does a few things worse... This Remnant actually has somewhat of a story though, it's DLC also had NEW areas rather than just reusing the same areas like it's sequel Remnant 2... The best thing? "Survival" mode - it's a roguelike where you start from nothing but 1000 scrap and have access to a few shops that you and your party share. Limited weapons/armour and stuff, decide who wants what, make some crazy builds. The effects in survival are buffed through the roof, the standard traits in story mode are amplified meaning you can have some crazy builds by mixing just a few of these traits. Endless fun, even after finishing Remnant 1 and 2 multiple times, me and my friend still prefer Remnant 1 for survival.

absolute peak when it's good. complete and utter slop the other half. would still recommend.
As a SOLO player, this game is just an anger management therapy. Checkpoint at start of 'dungeon' and nothing in between, no moments of peace to 'take a breathe', enemies coming 'out the walls' and are so unlimited in spawning, some enemies are OP (even add-on - and many there are spawning - at bosses deal more damage than the boss.... yeah really) and if you die.... well pity for you and you have to go through the whole horde of enemies again. At least the ammo replenish (playing on NORMAL) but not the used items (e.g. bandage), but ammo does run out FAST with the amount of enemies running at you. I was in an dungeon only on 1/10 of the massive place, already my rifle was depleted and still enemies come from every where and give you no time to get the ammo box out of the inventory (even when on quick keys) for it takes time too to get all the ammo out of the box. So hack and slash with a machete it was and hope for ammo drops and that you not die. This game does not offer a setting t...
It's alright, but definitely not what it wants you to think it is. This game feels really outdated for a 2019 release and like most of its creative vision was "just make it like dark souls" while not being able to copy anything past surface-level. It's still fun, but I wouldn't say it was difficult. Ultimately the tone, the gameplay, the mechanics, they feel all over the place. It's also weirdly clunky with how character movement works, and the aiming reticle doesn't line up well for precise weapons. The HUD sucks as well; damage indicators are tiny and you'll be staring at your health bar like it could run into traffic at any moment. That being said, it'd be a good buy on like 80% off or something.
Way too hard single player, I can't even beat the first boss. no target lock means I'm rolling facing away from the target and nearly always get hit reorienting myself. Looks nice but combat is awful
Tedious. Feels like an incomplete project. Setting is boring, story is barely "there". Feels like a "my first 3rd person shooter" type of project with little to no imagination and no innovation whatsoever. Combat is tedious and basic. Dropped it after 6 hours due to sheer boredom.
I legitimately can't believe this was made by the same studio that made the Darksiders series. There's no way. It's so generic that it's almost insulting. This plot, setting, and aesthetic had already been done to death years before this game came out. Why even bother having a story at that point? The gameplay isn't even that good. Sure, the gunplay is solid enough, but the progression is shallow and the enemies are so bland and forgettable that I get nothing out of fighting them. Loot sucks, too. I found two entire new guns in 2.5 hours of gameplay, a smattering of rings/necklaces, and not a single new piece of armor. What the hell is my incentive here, Gunfire?? 'Cus it sure as hell isn't the story. I paid 8 bucks for this and that still felt like a rip-off. I can't imagine spending $40 on it. If you have any standards whatsoever, hit the ignore button and don't give it a second glance.
after 30+ hours playing remnant i can't recommend it at all. It is not dark souls cause it is much easier, less interesting, has worse mechanics and character movement. The only thing that can interest you a bit is some boss battles. From the whole game they seem like fresh air. But if you look at them in comparison to DS, they are still made "weaker".
Super Linear, Anti Climactic ending
It's like having to listen to your old pops boring stories while at the table. Just tedious.
