There were a few things that made Dishonored great. The fantastic level design, complementing mechanics which allowed for freedom in how the player tackles every encounter, and non-linear storytelling based on player choice. Unfortunately you'll find none of that here. This game feels like a sad skeleton wearing Dishonored's skin.

Checks the boxes the other games didn't (you play as a gay black disabled woman)
Game feels more like a DLC than a third addition to the franchise but still very good. Would still wait for a sale before purchasing.
A shorter but impactful conclusion to the series. Billie Lurk’s perspective and new powers make the experience refreshing, and the story ties up the Outsider’s arc in a bold way.
The gameplay mechanically iterated with a rechargeable mana bar and streamlined upgrades, but still feels weaker overall due to the linear maps and less interesting powers (the mere 3 that you get are watered-down abilities from Corvo). The heart used to push the player to every corner of the map, but it's been replaced by a new one that has very little utility. It's also much worse at worldbuilding. The maps in general have far less resources like springrazors or grenades, which discourages exploration. Foresight doesn't help this issue either. That might not be a bad thing though, because the level design as a whole has suffered greatly in comparison to the first two games. The first level is the worst in the series, the second is passable, the third is actually pretty good, the fourth is a less-interesting reskin of another level from the second game, and the fifth, while visually striking, is ultimately empty. The story is, at best, laughable. At its worst (and it's often...
more dishonored pls arkane
More of dishonored! whats there not to love? this is the perfect wrap up to the story of dishonored and the fate of the outsider. its crazy that this game has better graphics than dishonored 2 but actually performs better. it has no audio bugs or fps drops.
Even though I hate the fact that "Dishonored: Death of the Outsider" was a DLC for Dishonored 2 but released as an independent game, thus being so short and forcing you to re-download the same content and assets of Dishonored 2, but I like it so much that I can turn a blind eye to those problems. "Dishonored: Death of the Outsider" is a different approach. The chaos system is scrapped for this one, which allows you to have more freedom in choosing your path without messing up the world and story. Also, you have limited void powers that will challenge you a bit more, especially if you want to go all gun-blazing, cause I find them more suitable for a stealth approach. But more than anything, it's the lore and story I love about "Dishonored: Death of the Outsider", Dishonored 1, which I liked a lot , and 2, which I wasn't really a fan of , had the same prob...
this could've been a dlc for dishonored 2
Dishonored®: Death of the Outsider™, developed by Arkane Studios and published by Bethesda, serves as both a continuation and a conclusion to the Dishonored saga. Unlike its predecessors, this standalone expansion narrows its focus to a single protagonist—Billie Lurk, a recurring character from the main series—who embarks on a personal and morally ambiguous mission to eliminate a god-like figure known as the Outsider. The premise is bold: kill a divine being who has been central to the series’ lore and mechanics. This narrative risk pays off with a thought-provoking story that explores themes of guilt, redemption, and the nature of power, all set within Arkane’s masterfully crafted world of Karnaca. The game departs slightly from the duality of chaos systems found in the main entries, offering a more streamlined experience in both narrative and gameplay. Billie’s powers—Displace, Semblance, and Foresight—are unique and highly versatile, encouraging creative approaches...
