They beat down the evil and saved the world.
But the evil prophesied that darkness would never disappear as long as there was light in the world.

This typing action game from BottleCube, CYBIRD and Dazzle is a short and simple endless mode game featuring a party of 6 adventurers Claudio Reeve, Rudolf Bass, Alicia Miller, Dan Gaff, Nacht Etoile and Mirko Faran, each belonging to a different spirit(fire, tree, water, light, darkness and multi respectively). Each stage involves defeating a monster or boss monster by typing out the words of a selected character and using him/her to do damage and reduce the health of the monster to zero within a certain time limit as monsters will also attack the party and cause the party to lose health. In addition to skill in typing out the words correctly, there is an element of luck and strategy involved where all monsters and boss monsters will belong to a certain spirit and using a character of an appropriate spirit to counter the spirit of the monster will deal more damage and build up a certain amount of special move points to allow Mirko Faran to be used while using a character of an inappro...

This game unfortunately isn't what I hoped it would be, which sucks. I hate this fact because typing games are so rarely done well enough to be notable.
Artstyle/Animation
Pros - For the most part the artstyle looks good. There is a decent amount of different artworks in the game for enemies. Cons - While the artstyle is good, the UI restricts how well you can appreciate it. I'll speak of this more in the next section. - Animation consists of characters just kind of sliding up toward the enemy and while the animations for the attacks are colorful, the UI (Again) restricts how well the player can appreciate them. - The same artwork for enemies are used for bosses as well, making them really underwhelming. - A lot of artworks for enemies are reused with the colors changed for different types.
UI
There is a chart in the top right with the types of attacks and what they're effective against/weak to, a Stage counter in the top left with the name and type...

Holy crap this game is bad. I can sum up the content in one sentence. Load up game press start and type infinitely against enemies with no animations or levels until you die. There is no plot or progression. Only a waste of your money. I can't even humor it to improve my typing because the time between fllors takes longer than it should and you can clear the screen and have to wait for more words to show up even though you are SUPPOSED to be typing as fast as you can. bad bad bad.

4/10 I really hate to be having to give this game a thumbs down, as I absolutely love the idea of a game that combines RPG elements with a typing game... But this is just not good. The good things about this game are that it looks good and the music is nice. That's about it. Other than that, I'll summarize the game: you start the game, the game gives you 2 pages about a bland story, then the game starts. You have no idea who are the characters you're using or why are they fighting because the story is really THAT vague. After that, you just type words from a selection of 3 words to attack your enemy. You have to defeat the enemy before a 10 seconds counter or your party gets hit and after a certain number of stages, there is a boss fight. After you charge the special bar, you get an extra word that heals the party when activated. You just keep going from fight to fight. There's no story in between fights or anything else - something like resting in a tavern to check on your party, e...

Valiant Knights may or may not go off sale at any minute, but it's just a simple, endless typing game that uses a JRPG-like theme. Your party of five (+1) characters randomly cycles in three members, each offering a word you can type in order to damage and ultimately defeat an enemy, with a timer counting down until the enemy damages you instead. Some words do bonus damage to the enemy, while some do less damage, according to an elemental wheel, but since you can't really choose which party members are offering words at any given time, this doesn't end up mattering as much as just typing as fast as possible. Typing words successfully builds up a super meter in the lower right. When it's full, your sixth party member offers a special fourth word. You should use these against bosses, which show up once every four stages, and refill your life bar somewhat after defeating each of them. There's no real goal except completing all the achievements - which requires completing 800 total stag...

An endless typing game featuring Valiant Knights characters. Or at least, I don't think it has an ending as I played to round 500. You fight monsters by typing words on one of the 3 characters on the screen, and the damage depends on the type of the attack magic versus the monster's affinity, which is convenient shown on the top right corner. For every 4 levels, there will be a boss monster, which will deal more damage to you, but is not necessarily tougher than regular mob monsters. As you defeat monsters, you will gain level at the rate of around 3 round per 1 level (and the rate doesn't slow down even when you level up), which will persist to the next run. At the beginning, you will die quite a bit, but as you level up, the first few level becomes extremely boring as the monsters can be defeated in one hit, and the fade out between levels is longer than the time you need to finish it. Not to mention that you have to spend an hour trudging through the earlier level to get to the po...

Urgh, there is just no gameplay at all in this "game". Just endlessly typing words without any purpose.

Picture this, your phone is broken so you spend some extra time playing Steam games. You scroll through your library looking for a game that's a bit more on the easy side since it's getting fairly late at night. After scrolling through your library you come across a game that you haven't played in years. You remember it being easy, but for some reason you never got all of the achievements for it. Deciding to go back to it, you realize why you never finished. ~~~~~~~~ Yes, I know you can no longer purchase this game on Steam however, I still felt the need to review it for some unknown reason. Spoiler-free review I guess? There really isn't a story to begin with. Honestly I don't know what possessed me to purchase this game in the first place. It's basically just a typing game with the illusion of needing to type quickly to get far, however you can go too fast and not get a word prompt which will cause your rhythm to falter. Sure, if you aren't able to type fast ...

It is dull, not worth your time and your money. The game offers nothing more than a few words to type as fast as possible. There is nothing else in the game. No story, no equipement, no items, no skills, no real progression (just a dumb xp bar that rises everytime you kill a monster, but it doesn't change anything to the game, it just allows you to play for longer sessions..). THERE IS LITTERALY NOTHING TO DO IN THE GAME BESIDES TYPING SIMPLE WORDS. The Typing of the Dead is a thousand times better than this. Typeracer, which is free on your browser, is a hundred times better than this. And for 9.99€/$ ? Ho ho ho this is thievery. I paid 3.99 and I feel robbed. Hear my advice, avoid this game, there are plenty other games awaiting for your money.
