I love it. Played 164 hrs exploring everything. Once you figure out the controls, you can do it by muscle memory. I played over 200hrs on skyrim vr the same way. Figure stuff out, then play it. You’d be surprised how easy it is to navigate the controls once you do it for an hour.

Very sad and disappointing. On Meta Quest 3. Got it on sale for $20. Returned it. I got Skyrim VR in a really good place with mods. Unfortunately, the same cannot be done with Fallout 4 VR. The controls are bad: - The game does not teach you how to use the pip-boy in power armor - Pip-Boy controls and screen placement are bad - Movement direction is only tracked by controller - no head-tracking option Lazy oversights: - pipe weapon reflex sight is very hard to use with no front sight post - the laser effect on the laser musket glitches and rotates out of place frequently - you reload with the grip button which is confusing - Your power armor interface will get in the way when you're trying to loot bodies, as it blocks the loot menu It's a lazy port. It's not great that they're asking for $60 normally. I'm not willing to spend even $20 on this lol. It's so disappointing because I'm way more of a Fallout fan than an Elder Scrolls fan. Spent tons of hours in Fallout 4 and was hoping to...
Fallout 4 VR is an ambitious reimagining of Bethesda’s acclaimed open-world RPG, tailored specifically for virtual reality platforms. By transplanting the expansive, post-apocalyptic world of Fallout 4 into VR, the game offers a fresh perspective on its vast Commonwealth wasteland, inviting players to experience the iconic setting with an unprecedented level of immersion. This version preserves the core elements of the original—exploration, combat, crafting, and narrative depth—while leveraging VR technology to create a uniquely tactile and engaging gameplay experience. However, as much as it excels in bringing the Fallout universe to life in a new way, it also faces notable challenges inherent to adapting a complex, sprawling RPG to VR hardware. The most immediately striking aspect of Fallout 4 VR is its sense of presence. The opportunity to physically turn your head to survey the ruined Boston skyline or peer around corners adds a visceral layer of realism that no traditional ...
-Followed a modlist for several hours -Enter game relatively fine -Pick up double barrel and clothes at start -Try to equip -Pipboy is spinning around and around my arm -Uninstall and go back to regular Fallout 4
I have had FO4 VR in my library for years and struggled with constant crashes over that period of time, I keep it simply because the game play is so dammed good, I did however find after a complete overall of my PC from the ground up I have all but eliminated the reasons and causes of why it crashed so much, with a decent processor i7 12700KF, nearly on par with your basic i9, and a MSI GeForce RTX 3060 Ventus 2X 12G and 32 gig of ram, my PC seldom crashes and when it does crash it is parts of the actual FO4 maps fault, there are places to avoid and work arounds, if it crashes approaching from the north, try approaching from the south, I have over 1200 hours of game play, so I know the game inside out, 100s of mods but be careful test each and every one, delete if game crashes and go back a few saves I have found that way is best.
This game is a complete mess. Controls are so bad. Extremely frustrating learning the control scheme. Without mods this game is unplayable. Even with mods the game is extremely wonky. I do not recommend.
Slapping VR capability onto Fallout 4 and charging full price is practically criminal. They couldn't be bothered to put the least amount of effort into this and it shows. It's basically unplayable without mods. Thankfully, the community is always around to get these Bethesda projects across the finish line.
i really wanted this game to be good but it runs so bad there alot of lagging
I got this in hopes that you could do basic things like manually reload a weapon or store them on your back like 99% of other VR shooters. From a basic control standpoint this is actually a major downgrade from the original game imo. The graphics are absolutely beautiful but from basic things like not being able to use both hands to hold a weapon, storing them on your hip/ back makes for a rudimentary experience that I can't justify 60 bucks.
