About the Game
About Drummer Talent VR:
Drummer Talent VR is a drumming simulation VR music game. Players use their VR controllers to play on a full virtual drum kit.
In Drummer Talent VR, you choose your favorite stage from various different locations and decide which tracks to play. Before you take up the challenge of a song on Hard mode, you’d better get familiar with the rhythm of the song in its Easy mode. So far, all the music is created manually in our studio to keep the quality of gameplay the highest possible, but we may in the future also offer the player a music generating ability to create their own scores both in their own game and for other players.
Epic Scenes:
- Pedestrian Street
- Music Pub
- Roadside Stage
Cool Tracks (Most with 3 or more difficulties):
- Hills Behind - Pop
- To the Top - Pop
- Grand Navy Plaza - Punk
- Up Above - Punk
- Well Worth the Wait - Punk
- Hey Girl - R&B
- Hang for Days - Punk
- The Receiver - Rock
- Without You – Pop
- Power Surge – Pop
- Let Me Go Home – Rock
- Aggressor – Rock
Disclaimer:
This is not a real drum kit, but a drumming sim game. If you are after learning to play the drums, then its best off to learn it in real life and not VR!Devices supported:
Last but not least, Drummer Talent VR can be played on both the HTC Vive and Oculus Rift in its current version. When fully released, however, it will also be playable on a standard PC without the need of any VR device.Screenshots

I just had my first session playing through the tracks at varying levels of difficulty. Straight away this felt like something pretty special. Before long. There is a legitimate sense of awesomeness that comes from hitting a tight little combo and having it match perfectly with the music - so much so that it's more engrossing to focus on the rythm than it is to concern yourself with the score. The drums react predictably and registration of hits - correct or otherwise - is perfectly accurate. This makes for exceptionally rewarding game play. The handful of tracks are varied styles of instrumental songs and the step ups in difficulty felt logical. Assuming the dev can maitain the effort required to keep adding content to the game, I think this has the potential to be a big hit (pardon the pun).
I love your gameee! been looking for this type of game since then! suggestions : i hope you can use the drum as a set in normal or easy modes rather than just 3 pcs( just to make the player center focused) rather than just looking on the left side overlapping bars, the bars in front mostly covers the back so its kinda confusing! I hope you guys can add known music like those in spotify in future updates and some optimization! overall THANK YOU!
It's extremely buggy for me, double hits constantly, when there are too many notes on the screen at once, the game stops registering some hits entirely and the game and song get out of sync. Cool idea, and feels ok when it's working, but it's just too buggy and not enough content for $20.
So the game looked cool as shit and reminded me of guitar hero. See the thing with guitar hero is that time was taken to sync up all the beats of the songs to the controller presses. This game is really cool, but it's sloppy at best. Pros Looks good Adjustable Height at any time Cons Hits don't sync up to drum notes If they synced up this game would be amazing Tiny Library You have about 8 songs to choose from. They should allow player created through online streaming. Difficuly is very meh. You barely get more than 2-3 notes at a time. Also kind of why beats don't match up. Not super responsive. Or just not set up well enough. If you hit somewhere near the zone you could better use your peripheral vision and be able to handle more than 2-3 drums. Overall would not buy yet. Has potential to be epic, but till then I don't recommend.
Not worth your time if your a drummer and you expected something slightly realistic
Worst game on the VR hands down. Nothing is in tempo and there are no beats. The whole game is chitting the same ttwo notes over and over and over until your fucking head explodes to this mind numbing garbage ass blurry game. The people walking in the back are 2d sticky notes that walk around. All the songs soundlike they belong in a grandmas record player from 1923. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME! Hasn't been updated in over 4 months now. Horrible. Buy Big Hit VR baseball instead of this trash
It has been quite some time since I have had that much fun in VR! Great realisation and did I mention the fun? PLEASE add support for midi files (.mid, .midi, .kar). This is a simple format, there is certainly a c++ library for it and the drum track is always track 10. Tips: If it crashes on Windows 10 + oculus, go to the launch file, right click the executable and select launch as Windows 7 in compatibility mode. I put the drums a bit lower so I can use my arm hitting my leg to simulate a better sensation of hitting the drum You need to launch the game within steam VR. (The desktop icon starts the game but then in VR you'll have oculus home) Note that in rare case I can see the stick going throw the drum without any noise (and with me losing my combo) maybe related to the fact that I have a NVidia 1060 with 6Gb only
I rarely write reviews -- and that's usually because I like most everything in VR; however, this just missed that margin by a hefty amount. Honestly, what they're trying to do here is a bit difficult to make fun without the physicality of hitting something. More power to them for trying, but I definitely threw money away on this thing. I would ask for a refund if I was a D-bag, but I won't -- I 'd rather them use their funds to grow as a company and provide other experiences in the future. Perhaps they will grow as well, but at the very least they will provide more interesting concepts. What I will do, though, is contact steam and see if they can remove the game from my library -- once again, without requesting a refund. I'm just picky about what I have in my library. Best of luck to you, Mr. Game creators. May you learn from your experience and make your next endeavor much better.
Abandoned early access. Released May 2017, last updated August 2017, claims they will be in early access 2-6 months.
