Almost 4 years late, and I'm mad I didn't buy it sooner. Genuinely one of the funnest gaming experiences from start to finish I've ever had. I can't really find any flaws with the game; everything just worked. The art direction, the creative level designs, the dialogue (and accompanying voice acting), how seamless and smooth the gameplay mechanics felt, the story and writing, the overall polish, and pretty much everything. A delightful, charming, worthwhile, 'psychonautic' adventure that will leave you wanting more (and people do want more).

Psychonauts 2 is a wonderful, funny, weird game but most of all, it is a really good 3D platformer game. The levels are creative and well designed, complementing the powers that you are given nicely. I also had no trouble getting all the achievements in this game since the game places most of it's collectables in reasonable places and also provides a tool to find the last few ones that you missed. One issue I faced while playing was all the colours in a given level breaking to such an extent that I couldn't see anything. This is probably due to the fact that I am playing this on a Linux machine with an Nvidia card. Reloading the level would fix this problem. Apart from this, I had a great time playing this game. Recommended.

This is an amazing sequel to the cult classic 3D action platformer. After 15 years, it finally delivers a true Psychonauts experience with all the bells and whistles. A must-play! genuinely one of the best games of the past decade, storytelling, writing, platforming, hell even the combat, was innovative and fun. It'll make you cry just as equally as it'll make you laugh. I think this is up there for my favorite game of all time.

What a ride! Amazing story, visuals, and thankfully some forgiving platforming. Would love to see them remake the first game with these improvements.

Every single hour spent in this game was an absolute joy, the platforming, the characters, and the story were top notch and unforgettable. Sparking a sense of childlike wonder I haven't felt in a while with a game. Amazing representation of the human psyche, motivations, trauma, and mental illness. Extremely creative and unique. Highly recommended if you are a fan of 3D platformers and adventure story driven games, as I see at as a well done mix of both. A little bit on the easy side compared to the previous game(but that may be due to the better controls and movement). Going on the top 10 list

Honestly I wasn't sure if it would have the same magic as the first, and I'm very happy to be proven wrong. I'm sure it's not a game for everyone, which is fine, but if you played the first I really think you'll enjoy the second

If you enjoyed the first game, then you might want to research this one a bit more before you just jump straight in like I did. Thank goodness this was on a huge discount when I got it. First game is dark and edgy in a fun kids way with heart and cute scenes and creative levels, the camp map is super fun, the characters are all interesting, and well, this sequel is just miserable. The characters feel like a downgrade, the motherlobe and quarry map are kind of interesting but less when you realize you kinda don't care about anyone in them, and the humor from the first one is nearly gone. Creativity is still there but when the rest is so miserable you quickly lost interest in that part too. Beating down a hero is typical of the story, it's necessary even, but this much beating down? The game is so good at misery that I just didn't want to play anymore because I no longer cared about if it got better.
