About the Game

Return to an apocalyptic Earth in Darksiders III, a hack-n-slash Action Adventure where players assume the role of FURY in her quest to hunt down and dispose of the Seven Deadly Sins. The most unpredictable and enigmatic of the Four Horsemen, FURY must succeed where many have failed – to bring balance to the forces that now ravage Earth. Darksiders III is the long-anticipated, third chapter in the critically-acclaimed Darksiders franchise.

  • Play as FURY - a mage who must rely on her whip and magic to restore the balance between good and evil on Earth!
  • Harness FURY’s magic to unleash her various forms – each granting her access to new weapons, moves and traversal abilities.
  • Explore an open-ended, living, free-form game world in which FURY moves back and forth between environments to uncover secrets while advancing the story.
  • Defeat the Seven Deadly Sins and their servants who range from mystical creatures to degenerated beings.
  • Sit in awe of Darksiders signature art style – expansive post-apocalyptic environments that take the player from the heights of heaven to the depths of hell, dilapidated by war and decay and overrun by nature.

A Dark Souls clone with Darksiders tint. If you like DS you'll love it but it is not a Darksiders game. All the fun hack and slash of the original two are gone in their place is dodge hit once or twice then dodge again. I don't think anything in this game is consistent with the others and it suffer for it. I hate this game and am glad I'll never have to touch it again.

super fun, a hybrid of hack n slash and souls style. Love it. Very good metroidvania level design. Constantly back-tracking when you get new upgrades

This is the worst Darksider by a long shot. Horrid level design, annoying repetitive dialogues, worst souls like combat and nothing is refine. So meh in all aspect than previous 2 games.

I played the first and second Darksiders games back in the day and I had only fond memories of them, but I never managed to try this one out until today. I had to refund the game as it ran really bad, fps constantly spiked between 30 and 60 fps, it was not a fun experience at all. I have a Ryzen 7 9800x3d and 5080 which should be able (I'd say) to run this game at at least 60 fps, but no matter the graphic settings I chose, the fps was not stable at all. Played the game for a bit, defeated the first boss and nothing changed, the fps was unstable. In short this feels like a bad console port to PC and even if it wasn't not sure I would recommend it, the main character, Fury for the little time I spent with her, seems very unlikable and a bit of a douche, maybe things change as the game goes on and she has a interesting character arc, who knows.

Played indi games with smoother controls and animations. No sprint button, dodge feels awful, using the chain whip to get around is clunky af, jumping sucks.... the entire game just makes my brain itch in the worst kinda way.

Completed 100% Overall grade : 8.5/10 Playthroughs : 2 The Darksiders games are a special piece of media that was clearly built with creativity and love. What makes them stand out apart from the interesting story and memorable characters is the fact that every game in the series is of a different genre while trying to keep the core Darksiders vibe. 1 was a "God of Zelda" hack and slash, the second one an RPG and the third one a souls-like. People didn't initially like that souls inspiration which explains the mixed reviews. PROS: - Beautiful graphics, visuals, effects and views. - Creative weapons that all come from the little hilt she starts the game with. Also the upgrades you find and slot into them help a lot. - Organic puzzles that are mostly simple and don't overstay their welcome. - Cool elemental stances that change your visuals and gameplay somewhat, and are related to the mentioned puzzles and weapons. CONS: - The areas in the game look beautiful, but they are all j...

Soulslike cancer claims yet another great series. Gameplay is ruined and the game is no longer hack and slash. On top of that the levels are now way more linear than even the first game and you can't even ride your horse despite being a "Horseman". Such a disrepect for this beautiful game series.

Incredible good, fun game. I honestly don't understand what anyone who liked the previous don't like about this game! It's like a Dark Souls version of Darksliders II, but it even gives the option to play it like that (that's the default combat system) or "classic mode" which is described as a proper hack and slash. So you basically have two games in one! Personally, I always disliked Dark Souls games, I find them very hard and frustrating, but this one has a way better movement and it's easier to figure out the enemies. The first one I found kicked my ass so bad, I thought this game wasn't for me, I was ready to leave it, but after two more tries, I found the pace of the combat and now I'm absolutely loving it. It's not a very easy game, even I'm playing it in normal it feels quite hard at some points, but it's fair enough to get through with some effort and patience. Graphics are amazing, voice acting, level and character designs I'm enjoying every second playing it. It doesn...

Darksiders III shifts the series toward a more streamlined design, casting you as Fury in her quest to hunt down the Seven Deadly Sins. Compared to the sprawling scope of the previous entry, this game opts for a more focused structure, with interconnected zones and deliberate pacing that emphasize combat and exploration. The story centers on Fury’s growth from arrogance to responsibility, giving her a personal arc that gradually builds weight. While not as sweeping as the other Horsemen’s tales, it offers character depth and a strong thematic throughline. The world itself feels cohesive, with atmospheric environments tied together in a way that recalls classic action-adventures more than pure open-world design. Combat is fast and challenging, requiring timing and precision over button-mashing. Fury’s arsenal of elemental Hollows and whip-based combat evolves steadily, giving variety to both fights and traversal. Enemy design can be uneven at times, but boss battles against the ...

Good. I wish the bosses would be less tedious though.
