About This Game

Since the release, Moonlighter has been updated with tons of new content. From the smallest changes like key bindings improvements, bug fixes and balance tweaks, to huge innovations that we have promised in our Road Map - current version of Moonlighter delivers the original experience with a range of game-changing enhancements for players old and new.

Confront unfamiliar mini-bosses using brand-new weapons, armor, rings and amulets. Wander around 100 fresh room patterns, with the help of 9 brave Companions, and discover even more lore and story. Finish the main adventure to unlock New Game+ mode with additional challenges and options.

During a long-passed archaeological excavation, a set of Gates were discovered. People quickly realized that these ancient passages lead to different realms and dimensions – providing brave and reckless adventurers with treasures beyond measure. Rynoka, a small commercial village, was founded near the excavation site providing refuge and a place for adventurers to sell their hard-earned riches.

Moonlighter is an Action RPG with rogue-lite elements following the everyday routines of Will, an adventurous shopkeeper that dreams of becoming a hero.

Features:

SHOPKEEPING

While conducting your business in Rynoka village, you can put items on sale, set their price carefully, manage gold reserves, recruit assistants and upgrade the shop. Be careful though – some shady individuals may want to steal your precious wares!

FIGHT WITH STYLE

Defeat various enemies and bosses, and revel in challenging and deep combat mechanics. Masterful control of your weapons, critical timing, careful positioning, and an understanding of your enemies and environment are crucial to your survival. How you battle your enemies is up to you.

MEET VILLAGERS

Get to know your neighbors as you restore the prosperity of this small commercial hamlet. Help establish new businesses and watch them grow in the idyllic community of Rynoka.

CRAFT AND ENCHANT

Understanding the crafting and enchanting system is essential for your progression. Interact with the villagers to craft new armor and weapons, and enchant existing equipment. This creates a great deal of flexibility and spices up the way equipment is used.

GET THE LOOT

Access strange worlds through otherworldly gates and collect valuable items from exotic civilizations: resources, weapons, armors and peculiar artifacts. Hoarding everything won't be possible - use the unique inventory system wisely to take the most profitable loot with you.

BEFRIEND COMPANIONS

Gates lead to different worlds. Each run is unique and forces you to make smart and calculated decisions. You never know what you will encounter next – that’s why you must be prepared for everything.

Overall its an alright game. The art style is cute, the game play plays like an average dungeon crawler- zelda like game. The shop mechanic took a few minutes to get used to then later just became a chore of finding the right number(i guess you could just wiki the best price) I feel the balancing of the new game plus was questionable. It was just new game with numbers just multiplied. Did the new game plus have more diverse monsters? no. Did it add anything new? no. Monsters just did more damage and had more hp while you had more hp and more damage. Oh boy does this game have bugs. When hitting monsters if your pet hits the same time your damage gets cancelled. Really annoying if its done on your secondary attack(your 3rd hit) Sometimes the interact button doesnt work. Really annoying when done with the shop and you cant get out or use the bed. Idk what triggers this but it happened a handful of times Some pets are just felt obsolete and didnt feel balanced. Mimic is the best pet unti...

i just dont understand the idea of not allowing omni directional movement (like binding of isaac) combat is hard enough w/o clunky tile movement

Started out fun, but then I got the pendant and the major mechanic of leaving the dungeon just doesn't work, I tried remapping the button for the pendant and it doesn't work, no point playing if you can't progress.

I would NOT recommend this game if you don't have a controller. The keyboard controls are absolutely atrocious, making the game basically unplayable. I uninstalled within 5 minutes. Is it a good game? No idea.

The game was mid at best a few years back playing on console but thought I would give it another try at a discounted price only to find out some moron made the "design decision" to just outright offer zero mouse support. What kind of game launches on PC and forces you to navigate menus with W and S and confirm things with ****ing "J" - not even space?? I mean wow...

Got this for a dollar (what a steal!) and now understand why this game has a cult following. I have to say I really enjoy games where you lead a double life and this reminded me of Dave the Diver a bit. Combat + shop keeping + upgrades = satisfying game play loop!

Muito bom, gostei muito do detalhe que a música muda de acordo com o npc que tu ta conversando, tipo, quando você ta falando com o ferreiro, a música começa a ter uns sons de ''marteladas na forja'' de fundo.

I'm just disappointed. I'll give the game another try but my first experience was terrible

I liked the whimsical nature of the original main sound track for the trailer more than this battle-heavy, valhalla-warrior-esk generic one. They're like night and day and this song just DOESNT match the vibe of this game A.T. A.L.L. Still recommend the game in general, but who the heck made that change??????

This title is proof that some developers still take pride in their craft. From the beautiful, flowing artwork to the fluidity of gameplay. Everything comes naturally as you progress. The game mechanics are presented to you, but not obscurely or without grace. An instant classic and a work of art. Great to see fresh games like Moonlighter setting the standard. :MoonlighterShiny::MoonlighterJellyMonster:
