I don't recommend this game. The devs have continued to push updates focusing on the wrong stuff. Instead of improving the extremely clunky driving, it's an extremely frustrating experience trying to drive vehicles in this game. Furthermore the game is extremely bare bones and lacks content. The scenarios are also very repetitive. I would not recommend this game at all.

About the Game
POLICE | FIRE | EMS
Either solo, or in up to 10 player online co-op, this immersive sim lets you enrol with the police, fire department or emergency medical services and take on missions unique to each service in an open world. Engage in desperate police car chases, put out lethal fires, and diagnose life-threatening injuries! Each department has its own roster of vehicles and equipment for you to operate while on duty.
Police
Become the police! Usually the first to respond to a criminal incident, the police are equipped with the fastest vehicle and a variety of life-saving equipment. Police roles vary from handing out parking tickets to chasing down dangerous suspects. Playing as police in Flashing Lights, you'll do everything you can to prevent criminal activity and put a stop to any crimes in progress.
Fire
Be the fire department! Battling raging flames and freeing trapped civilians involves some heavy-duty gear including spreaders, a fire hose, a fire extinguisher and a fire truck. But your role in the fire department extends far beyond this, as you work closely with medical services out in the field, swiftly cutting open crashed cars so that medical staff can reach the casualty.
EMS
Be an EMS! As an emergency medical specialist, your job lies in keeping members of the public alive, treating patients’ injuries, diagnosis and more. Lifesaving equipment you’ll utilize includes medical kits, stretchers and ambulances. Help the injured solo, or with friends.
MULTIPLAYER
Team up with fellow players online and divide your team between police, fire and EMS at will. Race around the open world in various vehicles, to where you are needed, working together to help civilians in accidents (fire and EMS) or catch a fleeing criminal (police).OFFICIAL MOD SUPPORT

User Reviews
I'm sorry. I'm not the type of person to scold games. I think this might be my first negative review actually. They went into Early Access in 2018. It is currently 2025 and not only is there no optimization, which I can tell from playing on an excellent computer, but you would be hard pressed to be able to join a lobby in general right now. I saw potential in this title and enjoyed its mechanics, but it isn't what it should be right now. Especially after over 7 years of development and a $25 price tag. I really wanted to play and enjoy this again but there is nothing here.
so many bugs stupid devs releasing many dlc trying to make money instead of fixng there stupid bugs that are so minor but when theres so many it becomes boring game has so much potenial but devs are too money hungary adding updates to the city layout and making dlc FIX THE FUCKING GAME
the game needs ALOT of work. but I enjoy getting stoned and playing 4/10 very buggy and all the ai sucks
Years of waiting. Years of trying to help with reasonable bug reports. Yet not more than a handful were ever addressed properly. I had high hopes, but the lack of updates and focus on less meaningful stuff like DLCs, SWAT, dogs? and lack of improvements in the core gameplay and AI are disappointing. I guess time to wait for another emergency services game to deliver something better. Not worth the money, nor are the DLCs. 3/10
This game is a cheap put together game. It is not something of high quality and is very clunky. Total lack of customization and low budget.
This game is so bad lmao
Unpolished, boring, buggy piece of shit.
Overall, it is an amazing idea for a game and is really enjoyable with realistic models, and good missions and ability to mod. It's just missing the care a lot of other game have with the developers here not putting in a lot of work, a lot of bugs and tough to run graphics that need to improve. With the right care could be the best emergency simulator, and I hope to see it succeed more.
ive played this game from time to time since 2021, not much has changed.
