I'm enjoying this mostly for its visual look but its gameplay is very basic and will likely only appeal to the most diehard of FPS fans. The game's strange save system and a glitch preventing me from progressing on level 3 are why I don't recommend the game overall, despite enjoying the game quite a bit. Perfect Plan has a story with full voice-acting, albeit voice acting in English with heavy accents and a fair amount of the dialog can come off over the top / unintentionally (?) funny. That being said, it's nice that there is effort being put in to tell a story, with cutscenes and dialog. The cutscenes, however, are very simplistic consisting of little more than gates / doors opening and things being blown open. Sometimes the cutscene during dialog / opening the next path is as simple as the camera spinning around and then an explosion effect occuring somewhere. The levels are varied and include infiltrating a shipping area and then navigating along a moving train, but your tasks w...

Its short but its quite fun. It's literally run here, shoot these, press this and go to the exit. I finished in 2 to 3 hours tops. I finished it in a couple of hours and thats with me dying over and over again across 1 or 2 of the levels (I'll explain why). At the ending credits, there was just literally one name so i assume its made only by one guy? I like the colours used for particle effects of the bullets. It's vibrant and it managed to be quite spectacular, I assume, if used in proper large-scale battles. I haven't had any problems running the game, even with a shitload of enemies shooting at me and the gameplay is very smooth (it should be as its using UE4). Although, I had to tone it down a bit because I see some hit on my FPS during fights. There are literally 3 types of guns (burst, autos, and a bazooka), just differently colored. The levels are standard running around shooting things but there are problems. The first is the bots are all marksmen from hell. They will shoo...
*update* So I was told the game was updated and it was except now I cant even start a game. The first time I loaded it there was 2 mouse cursors so i restarted and now there was only 1 but it wouldnt go past right above the menu so I couldnt even start playing. It seems the update has made it worse. Its not like im using odd hardware or old drivers. Im playing on an i7 5820k (6 cores), 32 gigs of ddr4 in quad channel and a GTX 1080. Why havent I just returned this yet? Cause I want to play it! Also for the love of god let us skip the menus,,,, *original review below* FIrst when the game is launched it also launched steam vr and oculus home despite the fact that my vr hmd isnt hooked up and this isnt a vr game. Also the first 2 times i tried playing it crashed when i tried to change options. vsync does NOT work even if forced in driver cp so there is tearing constantly. controller support would also be nice. you can aim and shoot but thats it. Also no 4k support in a UE...
this game so good very best
I remember seeing this on Greenlight years ago and thinking it looked interesting. Today I gave it a try and... ooh boi. Where do I begin? How about the sound design, it's completely borked. Sounds are horribly unbalanced, with the first level having constant loud 'Pew Pew' sounds. The touted voice acting is a joke, just a couple of muffled voices speaking in broken english. Guys. There's a site called 'Fiverr', you can get cheap professional sounding voice actors from there for cheap. |Controls The Controls cannot be rebound to other keys. To turn on the flashlight you press 'T'. Not 'F'. T!? Who the fuck thinks to use T for a flashlight, this is a simple convention that was established in Half Life over 20 years ago, how do you mess that up? And what's the point of having an optional flashlight? Everything is fuccin dark, why not just have it on by default? Or properly light your levels, that would help! What F does do is swap weapons you can pick up. But it doesn't do it au...
