New Update. Now you can choose between the plank and the tightrope experience.
About the Game
One of the BEST experience for your VR parties and for newcomers that have never tried virtual reality before. Plank not included is a virtual reality (walk the plank) experience. You will experience acrophobia (fear of height) 41 levels of fear to experience. Now you can choose between the plank and the tightrope experience. 1-You need an HTC Vive or an Oculus Rift and a play area at least 3.3 m x 1.5 m. 2-You need a plank minimum of 8 feet or longer. 3-Align your real plank with the virtual one on the floor. 4-Catch the two hummingbirds at both ends of the plank with the virtual net attached to your right controller. 5-Once the two hummingbirds are caught, it will load a new level higher from the ground than the previous. 6-Be safe. 7-Have fun. 8-Let your friends try. 9-Press the R key on your keyboard to restart the experience. 10-Press the S key on your keyboard to skip to the next level. 11-Press the Q key on your keyboard to exit the game. For acrophobia treatment. Here are the heights of each scene in meters and feet. Bought this and for the price its pretty good had a hard time balancing on my plank board and the levels increased the height good strategy it tells u to have a 6ft to 7ft plank board but even my 7ft board was still short for it lol... I will say i had more fun on this one than richies plank expierence i still like that one to ..... My only issue with this game is hopefully the developer has it to where if u fall off your plank then it shows u falling like in richies expierence....right now u can hop off plank and u dont fall please change that and your golden....
I grabbed this yesterday and gave it a go since with a $4.99 price tag, how could I not. I gotta say, this is a pretty cool experience. The graphics are a little weaker than Richie's for sure but this one is a little different since the object is to catch the two hummingbirds at both ends of the plank with the virtual net attached to your right controller. As you move on, each level brings you to a higher and higher point. All in all about a 15 minute experience. The only real two negatives were, first off, you have to line your plank up with the plank in the game instead of being able to create exact dimensions for the plank like in Richie's Plank Experience. The second, you cannot really fall. Granted I did not try this in all levels but at least in the train level I was unable to jump from the plank. Still all in all a great experience for the price that I would recommend.
Absolute thrill! I enjoyed every second of this experience. The graphics are sharp, and overall very immersive. I'm not scared of heights, but this game really gave me that feeling of vertigo. This title is a definitel improvement from Richies Plank Experience. There's variety, and some really awesome scenes. It's also cheaper! 10/10
This game is hilarious at VR Parties! Watch your family and friends freak out, as they try to make it across the Plank. We use a real 1" x 5" Plank, and you can even put some boards under both ends of the Plank, and it gives is a "Spring" effect that freaks people out even more because it is more realistic of what it would actually feel like if you were to walk across a thin plank. I think i will try to put some 2" x 2"s under the plank to make it wobble side-to-side as well. Very well done, Dev's...great concept for a VR experience!
Absolutely brilliant. I have been looking for a game to really tweak my fear of heights but, so far, Ritchies Plank Experience is the only one and as good as that is, it didn't leave me particularly scared for some reason. Plank Not Included has over 30 'scenes' with ever increasing heights, but for me it's all about one in particular, a scene where you're on a plank suspended between two window-cleaning rigs attached to a skyscraper. As it slowly rises towards the top of the building I got an absolutely terrifying experience of vertigo, my legs were shaking and I had to close my eyes at one point. What really accentuates this scene is not only the movement upwards but the gap between the plank and the side of the building, it's difficult to describe but it feels DANGEROUS, and that was exactly what I wanted. My only criticism of this game is that the 'missions' or scenes or whatever are divided into easy, medium and extreme and you have to play them all sequentially within that diffi...
started out good but instead of getting taller it started adding movement to each stage which made me want to puke.
Great experience. Playing 100% intuitive, no need to learn commands, good job. Nice graphics quality and I like all ideas and environments!
Fun experience, and the name of the game is so suggestive. If you buy this one, you should get some plank. The addition of tactile sense increase the overall feeling of reality a lot.
The visual depth in this game is great, and surprisingly the objects and textures are pretty good too. It's pretty simple, but manages to feel pretty real given the basic conciete that you are on a really long board, often one that is being moved, and one that doesn't bend (I liked the I-beam levels a little more for this) trying to... catch hummingbirds, sometimes in places that really Should Not have hummingbirds. It's a solid use of VR, but as others have mentioned it's very short, really only has one mechanic, and at times it's increadibly cheesy - so I recomend waiting for a sale (~$5 is my suggested price). You can, by the way, absolutely fall. It's pretty forgiving, and not exactly scarry, but it's 100% possible. If the devs added some tumble to the fall it would up the intensity 100%, and maybe when extra (foot) tracking comes out this game will suddenly become super intense. I also couldn't pause, and for some reason it ran without sound (which was working otherwise). The ...
