ok- I've played for about 10 minutes and got bored..I really wanted to like this game -thought it would be like the classic Asteroids but even not close- except the vector art style which i like... This game easily could be without VR- I found VR unnecessary and even hurt the game. This game should be top-down without the perspective which confusing and again Unnecessary.

About This Game
What Is It?
VectorWars is a cool arcade style space shooter, with full support for virtual reality players (Oculus, OSVR, HTC Vive) and non-virtual reality players (Gamepad, Keyboard & Mouse). Blast away at enemy ships and try to save the planet.

VectorWars - How We Got Here
It has been over 800 years since we left the planet earth behind. Isolated, and lost, we've clustered around our space stations like insects.
In 2842, it finally happened. Aliens attacked, and we were forced to defend ourselves.
In this space shooter, you play as Andy, a reluctant asteroid miner that must defend humanity against the alien invasion! Relying on advice from your sidekick, and orders from your commander, it is up to you to tackle the aliens head on!

History of the Game
VectorWars was a low definition, old school arcade game we created for mobile many years ago. During our live coding streams, we showed how you can rework and recreate old mobile games for high definition, modern VR systems! We recreated and restructured our game to take full advantage of everything VR!
Check out the discussions for more information on our mobile journey into VectorWars, and to find information on our live coding sessions (where we did a series of live sessions to create this game in VR!).
- 11 Achievements
- 22 Upgrades
- Tons of enemies
- Multiple ships to choose from
- 1 snarky sidekick

User Reviews
First I want to thank you for taking an interest in VR games and being a VR developer. That said, if I hadn't gotten this for $1 on sale I would be asking for a refund. This should be in early access still because not only does the core gameplay need a lot of work, there are a few bugs as well. I gave it a half hour of playtime hoping to see it through til the end, but after the boss on wave 21 I saw that it kept going I really just didn't feel like playing anymore. The wave 21 boss was actually the best part of the game but other than that it was boring. The bugs I encountered were waves wouldn't start and enemies wouldn't spawn when the fire button was held. This means I had to stop firing and wait for the wave to register, then pick up again. It broke the flow of gameplay but wouldn't be sun a big deal if it were the only issue. The other bug is that when you start firing the first shot goes in the direction that the ship is facing, and then the ship turns to continue firing. This i...

Loved the storyline... and the jokes. The game pretty much plays like what you see in the video. It took me a few minutes to get started, because of the different launch options. Decent for the price. Fair warning: Saw htem coding this on liveedu
