only get into this game if you’re skilled, it can humble you real quick. so far, the level design is the best part, and the art style is also really cool. A dodge or dash mechanic would be appreciated. I’m almost 7 hours into the game and have finished 65% of it… let’s see how it goes; it’s already taking a toll on my brain.
PS: I've beaten the game and i have same views on it, get it on steam sale for 85 INR you won't regret, awesome game.

Scratched my side scrolling platformer itch. The game has some particularly tough sections and the clunky controls certainly don't help with that, but overall Valfaris is pretty entertaining. Not a fan of the upgrade system. The metal soundtrack is nice! \m/

-AMAZING graphics
-good music, kind of low key metal ambient, sits well in the background and I really like it
-fun basic run and gun gameplay
-tons of giant metal bosses
-melee also fun
CRITICISM
-While the basic gameplay is very fun, I think there's too many different mechanics. All I need is RUN, GUN, JUMP. When I have to engage with the other mechanics the fun level drops. I think it detracts from what's already fun about run and guns. I don't need: shield, parry, projectile reflect, too many weapons not enough upgrade materials, secondary weapon meter ammo that shares ammo with the shield, melee to refill secondary weapon/shield meter ammo which causes an awkward balancing act when all I really wanna do is hold the fire button and run, forced usage of these mechanics to beat certain enemies or clear certain areas.
When you spell it all out you can see there's a lot going on when the game is already a ton of fun without it.

It's actually a very fun game, but I don't think I will beat it because I don't much care for dying over and over.
I highly recommend the game to all sweatlords.
