Cat Quest (First Game) Played On: Steam Deck OLED Completion: (Main Story + All Dungeons + All Quests, About 6 Hours to Complete) TLDR; A simple enjoyable game, with a cute premise and fun gameplay. It is not overly complex and gets right into the "action". A purrfectly charming game, that is pawsitively enjoyable. I'd go so far as to say its claw-some, it has a meow-gical charm to it. I know with these puns you think I am kitten around but give it a go. Worth the price for a fun game that reminds me of some of the more intensive web flash games of old. Story/World; A simple narrative, nothing to write home about, gave me several chuckles as it reminded me a silly take on Skyrim's Dragonborn. Lots of cat puns, lots of silly humor, a very unserious game. The world was enjoyable to explore but was super diverse. Gameplay: Simple hack & slash overview combat with a roll. Easy to pick up, learn, and play. A few dungeons with the enemies have medium challenge with dodging their attacks...

Good game.
I do not recommend this game because it cheats like a MF. Your armor is like paper and it is impossible to keep or regenerate mana. I knew it was going to be difficult going in, but why is mind blowing. The quests start out okay, but early on even though they are for the level you are at or lower they are next to impossible to finish you or end up needing to clear out a cave way above your level, again making it impossible to finish. (wtf?). The quest for getting the key to open the golden chests says it all. It is a level one quest with a level one cave where the enemies damage you for 999 instantly killing you. The quest givers laugh about this, which I interpret as the devs laughing at their users. Really nice devs. FU!

Not the worst video game I've ever played.
Cat Quest gets repetitive really quickly, play Cat Quest 3 if you want to have fun. I don't think I can finish this game it's such a grind to make progression, the quests become a slog. Back and forth, unto n' fro, over here over there; been here, done that! Leveling gear is RNG which is the worst thing ever and button mashing through UI, waiting for animations... Ugh. I'm moving on man lol.
No PlayStation 5 or PlayStation 5 Edge controller support.
