About This Game

Trajectory is a first person scifi adventure game that takes place in Earth's orbit, with a dystopian yet whimsical setting. The game has multiple endings and a variety of exotic locations.

Gameplay

In Trajectory, the player assumes the role of an inmate of undisclosed background who is completing the last few days of their sentence aboard a prison vessel that is owned by a clandestine, quasi-governmental agency called Orbitek.

During each playthrough, the player experiences the last few days of the prisoner's sentence in orbit. The prisoner performs his daily routines onboard the vessel and follows the orders of an Orbitek warden given through an intercom. That is of course, if you choose to follow them. The missions vary greatly from general maintenance tasks to daring and valorous exploits! In between them, the player can explore the inmate module he is trapped in. The game has many varying endings and with each playthrough, the experience differs.

Setting

Trajectory's universe is futuristic, yet anachronistic. Floppy disks are still in use, flight trajectories are displayed in ascii graphics and text adventure mini games abound. The game is humorous in tone, but has a solid, consistent atmosphere and a background story which can be sought out through exploration and collectibles like lost journal entries or computer logs.

It is up to the player to determine how his sentence will end and explore a number of exotic locations on earth, in orbit, and even beyond!

Features

 • Several exotic locations to visit in orbit, virtual reality, Earth and beyond
 • Several different endings
 • Varying playthroughs
 • Dystopian yet whimsical setting
 • VR HMD support

Inmate, only few days remain. Be sure to spend them wisely!

Honestly ...I thought it would be a good game , but ..number 1, I did not get anyone to answer or give me a tip on my queri ( stuck in reactor )..number 2 ...graphics and how things happen in the game need to be addressed......example ...in the cell room, as you're walking ( running ) along the wall as you go up the stairs to get into ather rooms , it seems like the wall its two parts and as you get closer ,it turns into an actuall wall......anyway , I believe the game is a one person endevour ( thums up for you ) but , in my opinion ...it needs work.......
6.4/10 - Lab rat simulator 2077
Trajectory is quite a neat little game for its price. The graphics are beautiful, and the controls feel tight. A single sitting of the game is very short; but due to the many randomized missions with alternative solutions and easter eggs, there is a lot of replayability for the obsessive completionist, especially for those who want to hunt down every possible ending. The gameplay consist of a fairly large, though somewhat monotonous, variety of puzzles, platforming and similar physics-based challenges and some thematic mini-games. All in all, while no masterpiece, Trajectory is competent compared to many other space-themed walking sims, and makes for a fine way to kill a few hours, particularly if you are looking for a game which you can play in short bursts.
Experienced on the Oculus Rift. VR Review Only.
If you're thinking of buying this game for the VR experience, then don't bother. VR does not properly work. As you may have figured out if you have half a brain, motion controllers do not work. But also keyboard & mouse or gamepad (Xbox One). In other words, no input method works correctly in VR. The game does render to the VR headset. I did notice issues with light messing with the 3D effect, making it look blurry. No matter what I did, I was always centered wrong in this game in VR. Re-centering from Steam VR did not fix the issue. Trying the re-center option in the VR menu did not work well enough, as I was still too low to the ground. You cannot start the game from the VR menu. You can't select any options in the VR menu. You can only re-center view. Once you're in there, you have to manually quit the game. You can't re-center outside the VR menu. Avoid going to the VR menu, even though it is tempting to click on that me...

The game has a very promising setting and description, but it fell short of my expectations. I found myself consistently frustrated while attempting to complete the missions given to me by the terminal. In one mission I was supposed to find a mop, but couldn't locate it anywhere. In another, I was supposed to pick up cargo with a drone. I spent 15 minutes bumping it through space trying to push it into a box, and when I did, nothing seemed to happen. The instructions and controls were unclear, and I didn't have the patience to figure out what I was supposed to do, because of my next point: I am not a person that tends to get motion sick or suffer from eye strain, but as soon as I got into the game, my eyes begin to hurt - a dull, throbbing pain. I believe that this was caused by either the very high degree of motion blur, or something else about the graphics. I checked the options menu for a motion blur setting (there was none) and tried decreasing the graphics quality, but it didn't ...

Limited interactions, clumsy game play. I don't recommend purchasing this game.

I didn't sort out how to interact and navigate within this game. I tried with the keyboard and mouse for a while to understand the gameplay, but ended up giving up shortly. It feels buggy, not complete. a totally boring attempt, not recommend it.

I'm not really sure if Trajectory is an asset flip. Some elements of this game certainly make it seem like the developer put some effort into assembling some kind of original here. On the other hand, a lot of the game assets don't seem like they were created by the developer, but they may not have credited all of the asset creators for supplying assets, which might be a case of plagiarism. There's no evidence, so we need to give the benefit of the doubt... regardless, asset flip or not, the quality here is indistinguishable from many asset flip/cash grab scams, and that's a problem in itself. Trajectory is functionally identical to literally hundreds of lazy Russian first person adventure asset flips (I don't think this one is from Russia but that's besides the point). A somewhat lazy effort of dumping a few assets onto a tired and overdone Unreal first person adventure game blueprint, with very little extra work done on it. One of the fingerprints of such games is the developer ...
