One of the best, turn-based deeply analytical games I have played! Awesome. No combat luck involved. Great replayability.

Easy to jump in and out, or binge for 20 hours. Solid game, one of the best.
I really wanted to like this game, but the gameplay is just irritating and frustrating. The game is so random. I liked the graphics though. Anyways, spend the money on beers instead!
TL:DR; Mech based puzzle/strategy game. Improves on the annoyances of FTL considerably. Quite good! ITB is interesting in that its a mech game all about AVOIDING collateral damage. Moving your enemy's around is as important if not more so than damaging them, and balancing this versus your own mechs survival is the crux of the game. I was initially put off trying this despite liking the premise as FTL (their previous game) rubbed me the wrong way in so many ways. difficulty was overtuned, unlocks were annoying to achieve and it felt like a lot of hard work that could be undone by random chance between combat. I'm happy to say almost all my reservations are unfounded here. The difficulty is much better balanced with a finer detail of advanced selection, unlocks are earned via various currency's (even if some can only be spent at the end of a mini-campaign, annoyingly) and there is no random chance anymore. Every action is planned, every attack you can see coming. The visuals are on-p...
I loved FTL so I was excited to try this game out. Unfortunately, this game never clicked with me. I adore mecha but somehow this didn't really feel like a mecha game and I did not enjoy these particular gameplay mechanics. They can't all be winners. Give it a try (maybe) and see if you like it, but the entire game is just like the video playing above and never gets to be more than that.
this game manages to teach you any and all of its mechanics by simply looking at the screen and i think thats pretty insane its extremely easy to get into and yet it has so much depth the odds always seem stacked against you but with enough thinking and understanding of the game, theres always a way to have a clean victory i love this game so much
The FTL way of doing things doesn't really mesh well with the Advanced Wars model, which is what this game plays like. Even on Easy, you'll frequently be outnumbered like 6 to one and nothing you do will matter. At least with FTL there's more stuff going on to keep things interesting. With this game, you get three pawns against a board full of queens and just press END TURN until you lose.
Without a doubt one of the most overrated, overhyped games in the last 5-10 years. Yeesh.
That's a really good one! Sorry for the short review... I don't know what else to say, I like absolutely everything about the game.
Like fights in tight spaces I was concerned about the tiny map. I was wrong again, this game is fucking addicting
