*update* This blew up more than I expected. It's been 6 months since my review and sounds like the they have a different team on this project now. I'm hopefull things are looking better now and it's nice to see the dev group wanting to fix issues and stay in touch with the community. Read my review below with a grain of salt. Danger!!!! Game is not actually playable in this state and developer will ban you from forums for trying to bring up issues! Menu button on Vive controller does not actually enable lightsaber at time of posting and if you go into the negative "credits/money" you will no longer be able to play the game (any level!!!!) because you can't buy the required weapons (at 0 credits) to start the level since you are in the negatives. Game breaking bug! Also the game crashed once in my little time trying it. When I brought these issues up in the forum I was banned for "The users computer performance was apparently not right for the game", which i'm not sure why that's...

This was not listed as EA This litterally one scene so far and that is it took 10 mins to clear The opening is very cool dropping into battle in a drop ship. Locomotion is a weird unintuitive arm swinger that is very fast and steers in the direction that you look . No sickness for me but I bet it catches some people out. The gun is always the left controller, enemy ai is super basic they all stand together active sceene with a lot of lasers it feels quite exciting, blinding flashes are not pleasant in VR and are obstructive This game was mot listed as EA when launched and at the minute feels hollow light sabers and starwars feel confirmed... This may be enough for some but for me NOT worth the price in my eyes. This experience is not a game , feels bare bones and released well too early
Well, I usually don't just buy stuff on a whim but I was in a VR mood today and bought this cheap game. Well, it is alpha. Not worth any money at all right now. It is fast paced and intense in a sense but the arm swing sliding around motion will make a lot of people sick and it is not intuative enough to be what I call comfortable locomotion in any sense. You feel like you have no sense of being able to steer well. There are no sound options, very few graphic options, weapon switching is non-existing. I like my gun in my right hand and the saber in my left. Switching the MCs is not how I am suppose to do that. The Ai is stupid and the enemies are just piled up in groups and lines shooting at you so it is dumb like that. The flashes blind you, getting hurt blinds you to the point you can't see to shoot so you might as well be dead. I hate to give this a negative but it really is not worth any money right now. EA is not for kickstarting. Indie devs have to start saving money before makin...
Locomotion is terri-bad! You have to touch the top of the track pad and then swing your arms to move. Might not sound so bad, however, shooting and moving are out of the question and it feels like you are ice skating. Take a few seconds to get up to speed and then you slide for about 5 feet after trying to stop. So you end up behind or to the side of whoever you are trying to get close to. Cover mechanics are incomplete. I was killed several times while crouched behind some sandbags. Pretty much every weapon feels excalty the same. Only difference seems to be semi-auto vs full-auto. For the price I'll hold on to it for now and see if they improve things. But I cannot recommend this game as of now. Wait for the finished product.
I dunno how this game is out of early acces.. Constant game crashes, Bugs and low framerates. Bad controllers and low options of controller scheme. They should have stayed in early acces for longer to see what ppl would love in the game. Headmovement is not a good movement in a VR game, It needs to move with your controllers. Also telleport is Awfull in a Multiplayer game! Lastly the spaceship controllers are a joke. You got a stick on your side that is the throtle. and its so wanky that i cant even explain it! Dont get this game untill they patched a lot of bugs that are still in the game, that should have been fixed in the early acces of the game,
Excellent game with a high intense full impacy epic experience.Full interactive movement. It reminds me of being in the movie The edge of tomorrow.I cant believe it is so cheap and inexpensive.Praise Jesus!
You can watch my review & gameplay here: https://youtu.be/2E0VtV0mYA0
Experienced on the Oculus Rift with Touch Controllers
So this game is not good. I know that, but I decided to buy it at the current .99 cents USD sale price and answer the question that some of you may be asking. Yeah, so it's not good, but might it be worth .99 cents? I mean you can buy a breakfast sausage burrito from Taco Bell for .99 cents USD and that would be a better investment for your .99 cents, no doubt. So let's assume you have more money than sense and just want to buy another game in VR on the cheap. The answer is yes, but just barely. There really isn't a lot of content here. The graphics may have looked awesome in 2017 for VR, but now in 2019 they look rather pedestrian. Plus the controls are clunky, the UI is a mess, and there's like zero optimization here. On my 1060 GTX, I experienced frame rate drops, warping, pop-in, & clipping. The gameplay could have been so much fun. Talk about a...
Please, no more arm swingers.
so this game has the potential to be a very very cool VR experience.. i have been waiting to jump into a large scale battle and feel like a beast.. however the controls are unbearably bad. movement is horrid and i am playing on an occulus so its even worse. i have faith that the game will update and be worth the 5$ i spent but please please just do something about the controls they are so bad.
This game is a lot of fun! The feeling of jumping into battle with your sword in one hand and gun in the other is exilerating! I also know that this game will get better overtime. I would definently reccomend this game to anyone who wants to have a bit of fun in vr.
