Myrne: The Quest

I enjoyed the game... until the end. The Good. +Quirky but fun graphics. +Simple but effective stat system. +Nice sound track. The Bad. -Fewer dungeons/areas to explore than I was expecting from the description. -Repetetive and simple enemies. -Only one real boss fight. -Limited weapon selection. The Ugly. :( They went with what is becoming one of my least favorite trends in gaming: The Extreme Cliffhanger. [spoiler]The end has no boss fight and you are left with your quest uncompleted and the bad guy disappearing with a grin.[/spoiler] With an ending in a similar vein to Halo 2, Rage, Divinity 2 and it's expansion (My most despised), and more recently, Planet explorers, or the Doom reboot. This might as well have an episode one somewhere in the title, because that's what it is.

TL; DR: This is a wonderful game. It is fun, interesting (but short) and I recommend buying it. It took me 9h to complete the game for all achievements and quests. That’s about the same as a quick run of the half-life and portal games. So, I would say the price/hour/quality ratio is certainly justified. I would even say “Myrne – The Quest” is almost as enjoyable as these games I just mentioned. Here are some reasons why: [b] Why you would like it [/b] [list] [*] You can craft, loot and kill. [*] Unique dialogs: Not just “yes I’ll do it” or “no I won’t” or “fetch me this”. [*] Unique crafted world: Everything is thoughtfully placed, some of them are useful some of them are obviously for the lolz. [*] Easy to understand mechanics [*] One epic boss-battle imho (but only one really) [/list] [b] Why you would dislike it [/b] [list] [*] It is a short game (really short if you rush it). I feel like I could spend way more time with this game but there aren’t...

Game is dank af. My review previously stated issues but the devs are awesome and actually fixed it. 11/10

Myrne: The Quest is a wonderful and lovingly crafted RPG. I really dig the artstye, the whit and the general atmosphere of the game. You can really feel the attention to detail the dev has put into it. I'm currently playing a close combat character. The only downside I've encountered so far is that I'm having a hard time estimating the distance to my enemies and the range of my weapons.

Edit:The game is fun, despite the few glitches. Amazingly, the creator of Myrne: The Quest is still taking care of their game and fixing crashes and bugs! Even better, they actually interact with those who play the game, which allows them to fix bugs and crashes more efficiently! I reccomend the game becase, despite all its glitches, it's super fun, and is much more interesting than the normal bs you see that fails to be an RPG (if that's what it's classified at? Can't remember, been up all night to 6:40 a.m. playing this game xD).

What a pleasure to come back in this funny word of the Myrne ! Really great to see that the ambience and the humor are still there (and the poor billy too ^^) ! Really great work for the design ! We can easily recognize some details from the previous game who was in 2D, but seeing them in 3D is like rediscovering them in a new way ! The gameplay is cool and really intuitive, and the difficulty is well calculated to feel some challenges without raging ! Also Thanks for the (free) OST ! I like that kind of music ! I hope you will continue to create game in the world of the Myrne !

Alright, I got about five hours out of this game! I could squeeze another hour maybe if I wanted to get all the achievements. (Loaded to work on the achievements and the game saves post starting the "no return" quest, so you have to start from the begining to achievement hunt.....) Pros Game was fun and had a good system in place if not a little basic. Cons It's very short and feels like a game that wasn't finished! More than a year post release and many bugs (The dev does seem to be working on those still) Long and short, if you can get it on sale like I did it's worth an evening of entertainment.

im not recommended this boring and unstable game, plus is that is little humourus.

Where do I start, well what’s not to like about this game it’s short and sweet, It’s combat system feels satisfying, it’s got it’s funny writing, and the funny side quests too, the main character have clear motivations, nice soundtracks too (I don’t feel repetitive) and much more!

I really enjoyed this game. As any other games it does have some bugs init, but what game doesnt?:) Nice and chill rpg with nice music and gameplay. Also lots of funny quests... Recommend it 10/10.
