About This Game

Clockwise
You seem to have landed in an endless dark hallway... or is it a house? - You don't know. You keep progressing through obscure rooms, halls and areas passing the servants of darkness; Trying to solve the mysteries that are lying ahead of you. Will this nightmare ever end?

Features
Focusing on the roots of classic horror games "Clockwise" uses the elements of darkness, sounds and visual trickery. The game can be played over and over again and never be exactly the same like it used to be before.

 • Dark atmosphere
 • Changing playthroughs
 • Classic riddles
 • A lot of dynamic interaction
 • Best performance and look thanks to the Unreal Development Kit (UE3)

Some Background
I started this just because i wanted to create a small horror game for people to enjoy. It is hard nowadays to find good horror games that really live up to the expectations. Most just get stuck in development... stay a concept or a demo of some sort. That's why I decided a long time ago to make the world "a better place" and provide it with actually good horror games - Games that dont throw a jumpscare on you... play an overly loud sound... simply appear cheap and not well done.

Some people may know the "Wooden Floor" - games by me. I wanted this game to be similar from the look - but different from the gameplay and feel - more simple and direct. The idea was to create something like the SCP-Games, that every horror fan should be familiar with... but it all became much bigger and better than intended. Me myself would call this my best work so far.

First Impression Gameplay: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-i1nZCBWFBI A great little horror game that suffers from minor problems and could use a bit of polish. The horror element of this game is on target, with a creepy atmosphere and a feeling of suspense. The changing level design keeps things unpredictable, which adds to the element of surprise. Graphics are great, and I like that this is on the Unreal engine. Audio is well done and certainly adds to that layer of uneasiness. Unfortunately, the game does suffer from a few issues. As far as bugs are concerned, it could use some polish. In one specific room, a sliding chair pushed me into the world and I was stuck and unable to continue. Which brings up another point: no saves. Makes this very frustrating, especially when you have to reload due to no fault of your own. The game also suffers from massive frame drops and stuttering from unknown causes. Apart from that, the game is fun. It's a really solid horror game, th...
Follow "First Person Exploration and Puzzle Games" for more games like this!
A horror+puzzle game that takes about 30 minutes to beat. The puzzles are pretty barebones - mostly you just find the right things to click on. Performance is pretty good. There's not much of a story. I got about halfway through the game before it crashed. Since there are no save-games, I had to watch the rest on Youtube. If you really like horror games, it might be worth a shot. If you're looking for a game with a decent story/puzzles (like me), you should pass.

The developer has just added a patch that improves the perfromance, and also adds a sort of chapter selection to the game so you no longer have to play in one sitting. Full original review below. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- https://youtu.be/hZbi0kYQ1dQ Okay so lets the bad out of the way first. Despite being built on the UDK engine I had some pretty choppy performance in game with lag spikes and hitching, but overall the perfomance was okay. Also the game is short with no saves, so you will need to complete it in a sitting. Oh and the less said about that menu screen the better. Finally controls are not rebindable. So as to the game? Actually its half decent. The graphics are fairly good - if somewhat repetative with the same textures and gloomy area's. Both the puzzle and horror elements are fairly light. Most of the puzzle elements are a bit find the key, and the horror is more a de...

I like the rooms and atmosphere. But i missing somehow an introduction story who explains me where i am, who i am, what is going on and what i'm supposed to do. I also think to add some ambient sounds/music could really enrich the experience. After running a while through the mysterious rooms i met a demon and after entering a room i fell somehow through the floor (a bug?), respawned in a room and finally ended up being stuck. So i not really get what "Clockwise" is about and lost motivation to play it again.

This was a super fun game for me. It was not really *scary* but it had a few moments. Some of the puzzles took a minute, but otherwise I liked the game allot.

Interesting little game. it didn't take long to complete, but it was a strangely fun to play. This isn't the usual type of game i would play, but i got it cheap in the summer sale and decided to finally play it. A quirky fun little game that i would recommend playing.

Clockwise is a repetitive (light) horror puzzle game that could leave you frustrated before even finishing the game - and not because it is challenging. You'll navigate a rather "linear" game that leaves you running around in circles unable to go backwards one you enter a room, (hence "Clockwise"), trying to solve simple riddles or lack of in various of rooms. These rooms are repetitive and half way through the game, you'll start going through them quickly. There is no real story and what dialog there is leaves you questioning a lot of different aspects of the game. Perhaps it was intended to be that way to have the player engage in some creative thinking, but does not go far. Aesthetic is alright and compliments the purpose of the game. There is little music in the game and you'll often make a quick glance around to once you hear creaking - nothing to worry about. It's just the house shifting. The end of the game can be a little challenging as it doesn't tell you what you are supp...
