I thought this game deserved another review from an inconspicuous source. Super Stone Legacy is a fun hybrid of Rogue-lite/Dungeon Crawl/Hack and Slash styles that should please any fans of similar games. It is immediately easy to grasp the feel of the characters (I got to level 5-3 on my first shot) and the controls are intuitive. The graphics and gameplay have a nice retro feel and it's fun to encounter new bosses and enemies as you progress further into the game. This is one of the better, more arcadey style of games in this genre currently on steam.

I can honestly say that this game is very fun. It's in early access, so it has a couple of things that are 2% bothersome, and 98% killer. If you're a fan of games that are NES hard, or simply looking for a new challenge, I'd give this a spin. First game that came to mind for me was Contra, because of how great it feels to simply progress without dying, and how infuriated you get when you fail. The leveling up is intuitive, fair, and a cool addition to an overhead hack 'n' slash. It's simple to pick up but it seems like it'll curve quite well to being mastered. Additionally, it's a quick game to get into and get out of, but I could sit for hours playing it. For 10 bucks, it's an EZPZ, good value game with a very involved developer that is really working to make it perfect as quickly as possible. Give it a go guys and gals, you seriously won't be disappointed.
I used to love playing Gauntlet as a kid and this game has that exact same feel to it! The ability to switch between characters on the fly really makes the game more interesting and makes sure it isn't repetitive. Also, whoever did the music deserves a lot of credit, it's definitely one of my favourite parts haha
This game is really interesting! The combat system is awesome and you can definitely feel the differences between the characters/classes (wizard ftw!). Would recommend to anyone looking to lose some time crawling through dungeons or to people that enjoy ragequitting after losing so close to the end (may or may not have attempted to smash my keyboard).
The game's concept is somewhat interesting. Super Stone Legacy brings a twist on your standard class-based 'arcadey' hack-n-slash; you get to play 6 classes at the same time but if one dies it's locked out for the rest of the run. There's a bunch of bosses and they're, honestly, quite fun to fight. I had a blast unlocking all of the bosses 'no damage dealt' achievements. The classes are 'varied', but totally unbalanced. You'll notice that some classes are pretty useful while others are completely obsolete. The difference between the damage dealt by your hold attack vs main attacks is kind of dumb, you'll never switch as one is always better. It's kind of a let down. There is an Upgrade/Shop system where you can purchase stats. I could barely see any difference at all and the whole system could have been stripped, but that's purely based on the terrible execution. I can see why it would fit in the game loop as if you invest a lot in a character and it dies, you get punished, rewardin...
This game is FUN. When first starting the game, if using an controller, use the mouse on the main menu first, and keep using it until the character select screen. Once in the game, it brings back old school memories and you. will. die. Good luck!
Well well well, first of this game was a very very plesant surprise I have had it on my list since I saw it, but just purchased it today. So question is, did I regret my purchase? Absolutly not, this game feels like a good mix of some of my favourite games (Zelda, Isaac and the combat feels kinda Secret of Mana'ish) Graphics: Are amazing, I mean come on pixel graphics <3 Sound: Well it's there, not bad or good Music: I really like the music, it is pretty simple and repetetive, but it is not bad Gameplay: Well as I allready wrote it feels like a combination of Zelda, Isaac and to some degree Secret of Mana. Whats also awesome is the fact you can change to any of the characters whenever you feel like it, and you level them speratly of each other, so the game "forces" you to play each character to get them leveled or else they are not strong enough for the upcoming levels. You can also just focus on 1 or 2 of your characters and have fun with them, depending on which character/ch...
Super fun, super challenging game! Very cool concept and absolutely love the soundtrack! Would for sure recommend checking out this game! :)
have only played for a few minutes, but so far love it. The music is sick! Gonna have to invest some time into playing more, cus so far I'm not very good. Friggen shaddow guy rofl stomped me! nice work 10/10 would play again!
Loved the retro style art and intuitive gameplay. I can see this game having a very big skill curve. The different classes are great and easy to pick up on the different play styles. The kind of game that makes you learn how to play by throwing you to the wolves and testing your mettle. It's a lot of fun and addicting to play! I cannot wait for multiplayer. Awesome soundtrack and sound design, keeps you in the game. Ran with absolutely no issues on full graphic settings on my 7 year old laptop!
