I like the concept and the obvious effort to create an atmosphere of terror, but the method of controlling the wheelchair of the main character is terrible and takes all the life out of a game that has possibilities with more work into making one feel "there". Also some of the animations are good, but otheres (like the bats) look 2D or folded paper.

Scary! Definitely gave me a few jumps like :D Should be fun to demo to friends too. I just used an xbox joypad as the thumbpads on my vive controllers are busted and that seemed to work fine. HOWEVER - know what you're buying before you go into this one. You can steer the wheelchair and thats it for controls - theres no attacks, no puzzles, just go through randomised rooms until you escape the asylum. Which I got first time with a total playtime of 3 minutes. Just seemed to be luck based om the route i took - but the 15min estimate on the store page is woefully exaggerated. Again i probably just got unlucky by esacping first time. I'm sure theres more cool jumpscares in there for a replay :)
Good for a jump scare. Thats about it.
Lol, If like creepy games get it. Is short but it will make you jump of coulple of times. also it be cool to show it to your friends and watch the reactions. For $4,49, I say YES!
OK so this is one of the most disturbing things I've played in VR. It seems to be randomised so you don't get the same scenes on every visit. It's a seated game where you have to guide a wheelchair bound mental patient around the asylum with the intent of escaping the horror. I had to play through a number of times before finally managing to survive. I didn't think you could initially after a couple of attempts. Each attempt is very short but brutal. Worth replaying so you can witness more and more gory scenes. Worth the entry price IMO. Moreso if you have friends to scare that aren't so keen on horror (record them and post online).
So this game is perfect for introducing friends and family to VR. Rating 6.66/10 ... I no longer have friends and my family won't speak to me https://youtu.be/6_C_aK2N0h4
Fun little VR horror game that puts you in various scenarios each time you start. So far I can only confirm 3 or 4 different scenarios. You sit in your chair and embody a mental patient constrained to his/her chair and using the trackpad you maneuver through the asylum from room to room visualizing certain things. The object is to get out safely or die but you really don't have much control over what will happen in each case. Just pick the right doors. The graphics are good and I noticed no real bugs. Make sure you start the game while seated wearing your HMD or you will be too high up or too low.The horror scenes are startling and somewhat scary. Who isn't afraid of killer babies? This is gorey so not really for under-teens. My main gripe was the choice of the way you do locomotion. If I was the dev I would have just had us press trigger and turn controller up down left or right to move the wheelchair but it is such that the forward and backwards and roation is a little unintuative on...
This game was pretty freaky! If your a horror fan, pick this one up! https://youtu.be/c7SgaSr7Txo
Short but a sweet experience.. scary enough and the graphics look great. Makes you think what a real horror game could be like with the Vive.
This is one of the best scary games on the vive, plenty of atmosphere and jump scares!! But... (of course there's a but!!) ... as good as the random level generation is ( a god send for an experience like this) .. the ability to survivor the game is just as random. Also it doesn't seem to be fully optimised for VR. A 1070 should not be suffering judder at this stage of the game. The locomotion is ln't too great either, it will definitely make the inexperienced sick. Maybe if they added some like climbey grip locomotion? Sure it's work for a wheelchair. But as it stands, touch pad sucks!! Other than that, a scary well put together experience that will definitely make you shit your pants at points. A 6/10 ... Just sort that locomotion and it's a 9/10. Worth the paid for an experience.
