A Mortician's Tale

I wish I could leave a neutral review. For what the game is and the length, I loved it. But the other comments are right - it's like a long tutorial and then it abruptly ends. There is a lot of reading (which I didn't mind) and some cool bits of information. If you've ever read From Here to Eternity by Caitlin Doughty (who is mentioned as a special thanks in the credits) you'll enjoy the emails. I do recommend this game, but just be aware you're only getting about an hour of game play, you make only one decision, and there is no spoken dialogue. I'd recommend picking the game up on sale (which is what I did).

[b]My Take Away:[/b] This game has wonderful messages about death and mourning (obviously). It also focuses on the corperatization of family run businesses and how cold death can be with out the personal care and thoughtfulness a small business can provide. I would suggest wearing headphones, the music fits the game very well and provides great atmosphere. Make sure you interact with everyone and read (at least skim) the emails to get the full grasp of the story. I really enjoyed this game and will be playing it again. I would wait for a sale given that it is an hour and a half experience, that being said I would not blame you if you bought at full price . Thank you for reading!
