Spooky's Jump Scare Mansion: HD Renovation

cool game i like the part when spooky said its spooky time and jump-scared all over the mansion

actually hella scary and there are just sooo many rooms, the monotonous room passing and the dark brooding atmosphere really help creep you out i heard the game can get unfair sometimes but it's probably only a big issue if you play endless

Good not great. Discovered it, as with a lot of my favorite games, through OneyPlays. But it's much more of a fun game to watch than to play. Especially by people who can be scared by it, I'm awfully desensitized. And even then this isn't that scary. The gameplay can become really tedious, especially depending on which specimens you bump into. 11 was the only one that ever made me jump. The Dollhouse add-on was fantastic, and changed up the gameplay without losing the soul (pun?) of the OG game. If only the main game had THAT feel, but there'd be no way with the randomness and the 1k rooms... oh well.

This game is so good

I played this HD renovated (Unity) version as well as the OG, made in Gamemaker. After so many hours played, in story mode, DLCs and above all in endless mode, [u] I'd say this a almost a roguelike, more than a horror game. [/u] Even though I might be biased because of endless mode. The story is interesting. Traversing 1000 rooms might seem boring at first glance, but main story can be done very quickly actually. As you are progressively meeting the specimens of the mansion, you'll find that some are pure nightmare fuel [spoiler] especially white face if you played Imscared, but also some that are Silent Hill references [/spoiler] , some have clever mechanics but some other just require you to run to escape - which is basically holding your shift key - and you will not see them often, which is more disappointing. i BEG of you to play this game before the model update, this game is fucking amazing and the model update is going to drag it down to a 6/10
