I have played 21 VR games, and this is the first game that gave me extreme dizzyness and nausea. There's seriously something wrong with the movement and/or viewing. ------- Pros: - Probably the closest thing you'll ever get to a real tomb. Really cool and scary! - Traps are real fun, you start to panic once you realize what is happening once you get in one. Cons: - Flat textures - You can't jump - There's no physics (you can't throw) - The fire from your stick gets in your face every time you walk - no blinking / teleportation type movement - stairs are messed up sometimes and you fall through - no hands, you only see controllers - lacks animations - It's a really great start, but it needs more work.

Watch my review & gameplay here: https://youtu.be/sj5eEmi4CDA
Experienced on the Oculus Rift with Touch Controllers
I bought this in the Steam Lunar New Year Sale 2019 for $1.49 USD. I think this game is a good bargain at that price. Game worked with absolutely no issues on the Oculus Rift with Touch Controllers. Locomotion is either full locomotion or arm-swing, neither option has smooth / snap turning. You have to look where you want to go. I do prefer full locomotion in this game, although some of the traps seem easier to navigate through with full locomotion so you may want arm-swing for that extra added difficulty. I would call this game a very light / casual puzzle adventure game where you explore an ancient pyramid full of traps and very easy to solve puzzles. The puzzles are mostly find the symbol / object type game. It does feel like a walking simulator for 3/4 of the game. Then the last part of the game starts and it pretty much changes into a platformer / climbin...

Jeeezus Kerist! I played for a mere five minutes and near ♥♥♥♥ my pants. Very atmospheric, and creepy as Hell. Yes it's early access, and it does need improvement - but it's also cheap. Another reviewer complains the locomotion causes him motion sickness. I sympathise, there are games I can't play for the same reason - but this isn't one of them. I'm going to have a large Scotch to steady my nerves then I'm going in again. Wish me luck. I think games like this are what VR is all about - or should be. Well worth a fiver.

https://youtu.be/9bXxngSXK4A Unknown Pharoah is a casual adventure game that takes place in an ancient pyramid, which you explore as an archaeologist, with the gameplay focused on solving mini puzzles and avoiding traps that await as you progress through the game. As of the date of my gameplay video, I felt that the movement mechanic of arm swinging was a major flaw of the game, as it was awkward to use and made me feel less immersed in the game as a result of constant time wasting trying to navigate the controls, which I feel are central to a players experience in a VR game. On Feb 7th 2017 though an update was apparently released which means it is now possible to play using trackpad locomotion, which I imagine would be a vast improvement making the game much more enjoyable for the player. I also felt that traps could do with a little improvement but bare in mind that this could have since been updated too. I also felt that the game needed to be more challenging in regards to the puz...

This is a game with a lot of potential. In the 30 min I played, I found the traps interesting, and the environment very well done. The puzzles so far seem pretty simple, but I did not get far into the game. The traps seemed all but impossible to avoid, but I'm sure the developer will polish things up a bit as more people play the game.

I personally do not like this game and neither does anyone else that tried it. The movement system is terrible and causes motion sickness.

Full playthrough: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rPv7YrIuWFE This is an enjoyable (and scary) game which takes you on an Indiana Jones like adventure. I didn't expect it to be as scary as it actually was since it isn't tagged as a horror experience. But then I haven't played too many horror games in the past so I might be extra sensitive. There are definitely scares though so just keep that in mind while playing! There was very few moments I wasn't scared and in some weird way that made this a great experience. Cobras, mummies, spiders, yeah, pretty much every fear I have in real life existed in this game! All in all, I really enjoyed it and definitely recommend the game to anyone who is interested to try a scary adventure game in virtual reality. Btw, I loved the end. I think the game is just worth playing for that epic ending, haha! You will know what I mean when you've tried it! PROS - Easy puzzles. Believe me, you don't wanna be stuck in this pyramid for more t...

Great game, If you like Tomb raiding you will love this game. Mummies, Tombs and traps and climbing. Its your chance to make it out of the Tomb. Graphics are decent, cannot snap turn, puzzles are easy and fun, climbing was challenging for a workout lol Simple AI but this is a game for exploring Tombs.

7/10 I like this, and I recommend it. There are very clunky moments, and I encountered a number of clipping bugs, but it is challenging, scary and fun. Well worth the money, but be aware that there is only 60 minutes playtime here.
