Short version: 51%
New Generation is a conflicted time manager that tries to be both fresh and traditional. The result is a low-paced casual game that may feel challenging for the wrong reasons.
Long version:
True to its name, Roads of Rome: New Generation is a clean slate in this time management series. We get a new protagonist, the son of the Roman general from the original trilogy, who must rebuild several provinces after a devastating earthquake. We also got a different game engine, something that will be familiar for those who played other games from Realore (Adelantado, Island Tribe). Said engine came with a few problems thanks to the developers' decision to keep as many old mechanics as possible. New Generation feels slow, made worse by the lack of a command queue feature. There are only 41 levels, but their goal time is often around 10 minutes, leading to a long but sometimes unappealing experience. The stage layouts are mostly okay; as long as you build an...

has a game breaking bug where you cant play past the first level.
Broken. Doesn't start under Windows 10.
Good game, good length, if you like this genre then worth a purchase. Tricky to find all the hidden items but gave a reason to go back and complete a level for gold status.
This new generation is far from the 3 original RoR. Idk how to explain but it is kind of slow, less addictive and even if the graphics are supposed to be updated and new its just not it. RoR was one of my favorite time management games but this one lacks in what the original game had.
I don't know if this works for everyone but I could not progress past the first level. On my first start I edited Marcus on the player sheet to my name and could not move past the first level. I went back and created a new character and was able to progress through the game....hope this helps.
Challenging but sooo fun. The secrets haunted me lol
Great game pretty much similar mechanics to ALTOZA love it!
A new refreshed look for a classic, took me a while to get used to what was an obstacle blocking the way and what was just something they could walk around. Really like this new look and some of the new mechanics, although not sold on having to trade some resources for others at markets ...
A pretty addictive casual game, if you like "time/resource management" puzzlers. The whole Roads of Rome series are fun, and have mostly improved as the series has matured, This and the later "Romans vs Britons" are my favorites.
