Similar presentation to Bullet Sorrow, you teleport to next fixed point after taking out enemies that rush in. There's a sequence where you're moving on a crane gantry but most of the time you're standing in the middle of the room. Enemies move to use cover so it's a little frustrating not to have any cover yourself. You're wearing a helmet (there's a HUD in the field of view) so presumably the suit can take a lot of damage and it's possible to dodge incoming fire when the game switches to bullet time. weapons are fixed - an assault rifle and shotgun, reload by pressing the trackpad. Enemies look good and distant enemies are outlined in red so they're easier to see, there's a good sense of size in some of the larger areas. If you like the Bullet Sorrow style of play you'll probably like this. More weaponry with a traditional reload style would have been good imo as would more creative use of cover and the ability to move but that's not what this style of game is about. It's a ...

I'm quite impressed about Metal Assault - especially considering the low price tag, just under 5 Euro. Check out my first gameplay of this game in VR and Mixed Reality view: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvTBA0TG8oo My thoughts about this game: Metal Assault is a VR-shooter similar to Bullet Sorrow and with added teleporting between waves/areas just like Overkill VR. Thanks to the impressive graphical environment as well as a cool bullet-time feature, it's not far behind those big titles, I think. Not bad at all! The graphics in Metal Assault and the environment is stunning for such an indie title, as well as the sound effects , the weapons and the in-game VR-immersion. Im quite surprised it doesn't get more attention - I would recommend it to anyone that enjoys first person shooters in VR, for 5 Euro its really worth every penny! So lets sum this up: The good stuff: - Graphics are very impressive - detailed map, beautiful looking game and very immersive - Sound effects are very go...

Aweful..yeah yeah it is 5 dollars, shut UP please about that newbs, this game isn't worthy to reccomend a GTX 1080 lol. Bulltet Sorrow has wayyyyy better graphics at more than half the gpu usage. SOOOOOOO not good. Also, no cover system, fun is not there, game is like one of the most boring VR games i've ever played. Immediate refund request. What a waist of 30 minutes in my busy day!!!!

Good news: It works on the Oculus Quest 2. Bad news: I wish it didn't. Not mad about the .99 cents I spent on this POS FPS out-dated VR on-rails wave shooter (who the hell are writing these positive reviews, this game was bad in 2017 VR). I'm mad about the 5 minutes I wasted on this game.

A very fun game but short also. The graphics were good and it is basically a straight fragging shooter. People are shooting at you so kill them before they kill you. There is no real locomotion except one area where you are on the rails. And the leaderboards at the moment are what makes it replayable. I hope they add more maps though. It needs more content to make it replayable for people like me. If you get this for a couple bucks its worth a fun play through or two or to play with family and friends to see who gets a better score. There isn't much there but what is there is fine so it doen't deserve a negative. My number rating is 5/10 simply for lack of content.

6 out of 10 As another review has expressed it's like Bullet Sorrow. Not as good though and barebones. I suppose you could compare this style of shooter along the lines of Time Crisis but in VR. You're planted in one place and must clear the baddies and you travel to the next point of the map, and so on. So a wave shooter with changing scenes if you will. Visually it's pretty decent, the gunplay is okay. Your armed with a shotgun and automatic rifle along with unlimited ammo with a couple of seconds between reloads. The game does feel a little unfair, although you can physically move around your space, theres no artifical movement so ducking for cover is just out of usable reach so your mostly in the open while the enemy run and hide behind things. It's the biggest flaw for me. You'll need a 3+ metre square play area to reach most cover. Mine is over 2 metres squared. This is the games main flaw for me. For this low price you should be able to get your money's worth and you'll prob...

I've played this game for a small bit. I think its a pretty great game! Being its .99 cents in the US. I find it a pretty nice experience! Its as if someone thought of taking a shooting game you'd find at an arcade and make it a VR game. Its a normal shooter. Two guns, Shotgun and an assault rifle. I had a problem before where the rifle wouldnt reload but you'd just have to reload the game. Its pretty fun with the bullet dodging mechanics and the shooting. Its a challenge which I find it more than 30 minutes. I would recommend this if you have some left over cash or steam wallet credit. Many compare it to bullet sorrow but I had never played and saying this it must be great. Some peeves are just not being able to use a controller to move, no dual wielding(or I just couldnt do it with my HTC for some reason?), no continues, no lore so you dont really have a role to play in this rpg, and I havent been able to find any medkits in the start and some bullets phase through walls. Some gr...

Like this. It's crude and rough round the edges, but the price is right.
