About This Game

VRQB is the definitive arcade VR football experience. You are the quarterback, driving down the field while racking up as many points as possible. Experience the excitement of classic arcade football from the quarterback's perspective!

Players can choose from five different footballs that each offer their own unique play style. VRQB currently features three game modes with three different difficulty levels: Classic, Two Minute Drill, and Scramble.

Classic

In Classic mode, the player drives down the field by hitting groups of three targets spread out across the field. Clearing each set of targets gives the player a first down, enabling the player to move down the field. The player tries to reach the end zone while increasing their multiplier by hitting consecutive targets.

Two Minute Drill

In the Two Minute Drill, the player has two minutes to score as many points as possible. The player has the option of hitting three different targets, moving to the location of the target hit. Players must weigh hitting the closer, reliable targets to build up a streak multiplier, or airing it down the field and going for the big gain.

Scramble

In Scramble mode, the player dodges the VRQB tackling dummies while trying to score as many touchdowns as possible. Be careful, as after each touchdown scored, the dummies will increase their speed and spawn rate. You can be tackled three times before your round is over, so don't give up after taking your first hit!

There have been 3 Football games (American football) that I have played in VR. Each brings something different to the table. 2MD VR Football has the worst name, but is bar none the best football game in VR. There is VR Sports Challenge on the Oculus store that has the best graphics, but is more of a mini-game than a full-fledges game. And then there is VR QB which came out just a bit before 2MD VR football. How does it stack up? Well, not as good as the other two options, unfortunately. However, it still brings a nice challenge. It has 3 different modes (classic, 2 minute drill, and scramble) and each mode has either arcade or routes format. You can go from easy, normal, or hard. Hard is a difficult challenge to master. You fight for trophies and leaderboard bragging rights. The game will try your patience. Try hitting a go or fly route that goes for 40 yards. Even a 10 yard out route is difficult to hit. And the moving targets in the endzone will try your patience. I...

I watched a lot of football this season so this was a nice fix for me. It was even a little addicting, for a VR game at least. It's one of the few games I actually went back to to have "fun" and not just record another YouTube video. I can't wait until the Vive has glove-like accessories where it feels like you're actually palming a football. The modes are few and simple but it's still really fun. You can throw spirals based on when you release the ball, so it seems. The price is about right I'd say as well. I recommend it to any football fan since there are pretty much no football related VR games out there. My overview: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HiW_2kCRTGE

This is fun, especially the scramble mode because you have to dodge dummies coming at you while trying to hit targets.

This is an outdated cheap arcady football experience with terrible ball physics. There are no spirals in this game because it is flat out impossible to throw one. Every throw you make goes end over end like you are tossing a rock. Gameplay is limited to just throwing the ball through moving and non moving circles until you reach the end zone. The blaring techno music also cannot be turned off while playing, even after turning it off in the menu. There are also no graphic options. I cannot recommend this game because there are much better football VR games such as Rezzil Player, 2MD Football, Pro Era VR, and Beat the Blitz.

Game works fine with both the Lenovo Explorer WMR and the new HP Reverb G2 WMR headset. The HP Reverb G2 makes it shine because throwing the football is much more natural and fluid. It's a nice party game to throw on with guest or to challenge yourself against the clock.

This is a simple football throwing game. It's an addictive arcade style game, trying to get your high score. I'm playing on an Oculus Rift and it works well enough. Some issues with the menu setup but doesn't bother me. Scrambling in the pocket while throwing lead passes to targets is satisfying. The throwing mechanics are pretty spot on, throwing a lob with touch is great, as well as throwing straight lazers.

Pleasantly surprised how much fun this game is! My arm is killing me this morning but my son and I really enjoyed it. Look forward to any future enhancements.
