Many games compare themselves (or are compared) to recreational shifts of consciousness (ahem) but few deliver. This one delivers.

A beautiful indie gem, totally psychedelic and humoristic alien octopus platformer / exploration game. What I liked the most were the colors, design and visual effects which are a total success. Also the music soundtrack is remarkable, especially in some places (like on the last level in which it sounds like Vangelis). You can beat the game in 4h, and there is a lot of replay value if you want to find all secrets and hidden portals. The only downside are the controls (lack of inertia and sluggish movements, and also awkward controller configuration (I made a Community Controller Configuration that makes the game more enjoyable with a xbox controller). This is not a big problem for the first 80% of the game, but the last levels are a bit a pain in the neck because of this. To conclude, I would say that the game is not perfect and feels unpolished on some aspects (surely because of the use of a third party game maker engine), but there is a great quality in aesthetics, music and level de...
Very clean game all around. Nice atmosphere and OST, the graphics are really enjoyable. The only downside is the game is a bit too short, but at that price it's still a bargain. Definitely worth it.
This is a psychedelic experience fused with a platformer. It's got a couple of "rough around the edges" moments, but overall was pretty enjoyable. The price tag felt insanely low for the overall package, so honestly it's hard to go wrong for what the game is listed at, I would have been happy to buy this for 5x the current cost, so take that for what you will.
A bit rough around the edges (mostly typos and a few minor glitches), but very fun nonetheless, especially given the price.
It would have been fun if you don't end up dying 30 times in the first 30 min just because you just can't see where you should land. 85% of the screen space is useless, add in game alcohol, a blurry vision and this is perfect ! Too bad because the pixel art looks appealing.
Nope.
A small, simple platformer with an evolving moveset and a steady difficulty curve. Rather than starting with the ability to jump, Octo can only raise and lower the ground at first, but over time finds the abilities to jump, swim, and glide, expanding your ability to explore, although the game is linear until after you beat it. Well paced, it offered a good, growing challenge that rarely became frustrating, even when the game gets...psychedelic. May not be the best choice for people with flashing light and bright color sensitivities.
