GW is cracking down on all fan content. They don't deserve a dime untill they stop this madness.

This game stands on it's own as one of the most visually appealing RTS' I've experianced, along with engaging game play mechanics. Rather than the base building I grew accustomed to in the first Dawn of War (Which I still enjoy for it's own merits), this version focuses on creating and tactically commanding diverse squads and creating synergies among them, as well as an engaging campaign.

I just don't care to finish it, honestly. DOW2 was great, Chaos Rising was more but better, and this is... just okay. Perhaps I'm exhausted of hero-focused RTSes, but missions were both tough and unrewarding. Instead of just getting gear and/or upgrades you have to choose one or the other, and ONLY one; after 20-40 minutes per mission I started realizing I had no motivation to keep going. The story wasn't engaging enough and the gameplay loop tried something different and failed. It's always cheap and still a good enough game I imagine, but I'm shelving this until further notice. Maybe I shouldn't have picked Eldar. 6/10.
