About This Game

A breathtakingly beautiful world holds the secrets of its past for you and your companion to uncover in this 5-hour journey.

Experience the contrasting stories of the fall of mankind and the lush life in a world reclaimed by nature with a wolf as your main character and a determined companion at your side.

Explore the land, sea, and air, as you possess any creature you come across to experience life from a whole new perspective. Fly through gargantuan canyon valleys as a parrot! Tumble through the grass as a wombat! Swim through shimmering lakes as a fish! Your journey will take you from densely wooded jungles, to lush rainforest canopies, to barren desert plains and archaic temples.

Ultimately, you'll discover a tale of loyalty, despair, and betrayal, as echoes of the lost Yanrana culture come to life in a lush wilderness devoid of man.

Great walking simulator. It's very pretty and the animals are fun to control. My only complaint is the voice acting. I found the English one insufferable so I switched to German, which was better, but didn't do the more emotional parts of the story justice. Also, play this game with a controller. It sucks with mouse / keyboard. Oh, and achievement hunters: you'll never complete this by yourself. Following a guide is a must.

I played this game on xbox when I was going through a rough time in life, and it was one of the few good things that happened during that time. The game is amazing and looks beautiful, the soundtrack is glorious and even the menu music is wonderful(even fell asleep to it a few times). Bought the game a few days ago and forgot just how beautiful it really is. For anyone that likes scenic games to relax too or someone who just wants to wander around as some random animals you find, I Highly recommend this game

Very calming, fun experience, I love all the little hidden areas you can explore and every animal add a fun addition to the gameplay. Can be a bit buggy, with how the world loads, but honestly it didnt take away from my experience at all. Very much enjoying playing.

The story's alright, but the 4-5 hour experience is definitely not worth the price. If you're going into this game thinking it's a relaxing, story-based exploration game full of cute animals, I invite you to dampen your expectations. It's definitely more 'story' than 'game'. And while I don't really have the knowledge to speak on the quality of the storytelling, I do think that it could've been done better: Most plot points seem to be wrapped up too quickly, and those that aren't seem drawn out extraneously to compensate. And despite the animals being the main focus of the game and its advertising, the story has nearly nothing to do with them, making the gameplay seem somewhat disconnected from the story. This isn't helped by the fact that the story is told entirely in the past tense, with the story beats happening through 'memories' that you collect, despite your companion speaking about them in the present tense. The visuals are stunning, with vast mountains and beautifully-crafte...

I love this game but DO NOT buy merch for it. The website will just take your money. Mooneye studios doesnt really exist any more as far as I can tell, they are unreachable and have not updated anything relating to this game for quite some time.

Lost Ember was a ROLLERCOASTER. Out of the many story games on steam, this one is by far one of my favourites. The storyline is intriguing and keeps you hooked throughout the game. The gameplay itself is very entertaining, allowing for open exploration and a unique shapeshifting ability. After you beat the game the first time, however, its not completely ruined, like some other story games can be. You can go back and find collectibles and uncover more secrets of the story and world surrounding you. The graphics for such a game are also very shocking, not being too good to overwhelm your pc, but high enough to leave you captured in the games essence. PLEASE consider buying this game if you arent already.

Stunning from the inside out, into other animals, and straight into my soul. Absolutely wonderful walking simulator with stunning visuals, great OST, and a story worth exploring - and it's a quick play too. It can be chewed through in an evening. It is easily one of my favorite games I have played and I immediately shoved it into my friends' faces with the preface that they would cry their eyes out.
