Some horror games are good, some horror games are bad, and then others are unplayable.. --- So quote the Orge!!! I attempted to play The 8th day today, things started out well enough, the store photos look nice, the price of .99 cent seemed like something I can get down with.. The installation was really quick... The menu looked good and a creepy voice said The 8th day when I pressed New game.. The game had an on screen menu which showed a brief introduction on how to play and then you're on your way.. I noticed a few odd things immediately.. One thing the game focused my attention on a level on the wall, I turned on my flashlight and threw the switch.. Then I tried the door.. my cursor seemed to lock in place and the screen read the door was unlocked but wouldn't open.. Then nothing, I couldn't do anything else, then the game crashed.. I was a sad panda.. I proceeded to repeat the process a few times and then ultimately decided the game is broken..? Some steps I took to get...

The mouse sensitivity keeps changing to 0%, which makes the mouse not work at all. The game is unplayable. Also the key bindings let you change almost all binds except movement, not a "WASD" guy. Obviously can't comment on game content. At least you can play in 4K though if you could actually play.

This game is awesome! Has a really creepy amnesia vibe!! It is early access so taking that into account this game has SO much potential! I can't wait to see what the devs do for the final release! I'am definately watching this one cause I know it can be an amazing horror! Kudos to the Devs!!:)

It was kinda appealing, like getting the journals and exploring and discovering when turning back, doors are suddenly open or other weird things happening, falling boxes, rolling balls. But then a woman started to scream and it never stopped, couldn't focus, got annoyed and quit. So the light is your friend, the moment you step into darkness, your sanity drops and you die when the meter is gone. Seems legit. Little puzzles to solve in order to progress, cheap jumpscares, not too bad atmosphere, little obstacles... But this game needs a lot, I mean A LOT of polishing. Maybe a different engine might do the trick? Makes the game more fluent, control wise responsive... Add more colors, more variants of visual effects, shades, mist, etc... Like the game uses a filter to simulate the mist, but I think you are able to simulate it as animated mist inside the game, instead of a filter that turns with you when you move. Anyways, if the DEV has not abandoned the game yet and willing to update ...

Everytime I go to interact with the switch my camera locks with dialogue at the bottom and I cant move. The game then soft-locks and I am forced to quit. Not only that I have a i58890k and a 1060 and I only get 30 fps on ultra. I would recommend sexy serial killer, the better game.
