As much promise it had, I can't recommend the game in its current state. Its an RTS, but its really bare bones. Ressource just accumulate over time, no need to expand or plan a strategy - just sit in your base, amass units an roll over your oppenent. No control groups, the UI has nothing beyond the bare minimum. Units and factions are unimaginative, as are the levels. Currently there is only a campaign, I made it to mission 7 when the designers decided to just throw an unreal amounts of enemies at you. Even with just staying defensive, you get slauthered. The other missions are basically the same, but less frustrating. The levels are very small, they almost fit completly on my HD-monitor. And they are so boring. Most of all because the designers put in tons of turrents in the way which deal massive amounts of damage. So you need some artillery, which is fragile and still takes ages to take out a turrent. So its just lengthens the missions, but doesn't make them interesting. Sounds are ...

About This Game

In a nutshell, Earth Liberation is a short sessioned highly intense RTS, fast-paced with an old-school taste. The focus is on combat rather than on base development or complex economy. The game challenges skilled players without introducing new brain twisting mechanics into the genre. As a Commander of the Resistance, you have to cut through a series of fierce close quarter battles. In Earth Liberation hell drops on you instantly - and your only keys to victory are tactics and rapid decision making.

Earth Liberation is a debut game by PoRovoz Studios, founded by Vladimir Polozkov and Nikolai Rovneiko who have been friends for the last three decades, and for the last two - huge RTS worshipers. They never dreamed of careers in game development, but while becoming successful in finance and the oil and gas sector, there was a yearning for something more, something from their past. They wanted to relive through the happiness of annihilating enemy bases with an army of units. However, since the RTS genre was almost ousted by MOBAs over the last years, a crazy idea came to them: “Let’s make our own perfect RTS like in the good old times, but with some fresh focus on action”. Having no gamedev background and lead only by their passion, these two insane dreamers put their careers on hold and began working on Earth Liberation. A foolish decision? Perhaps. The guys are confident: “Wherever this road will bring us - the risk is worth it. For Earth! For Humanity!”

One year before the game begins, in 2077, a reptile-like alien race called Khraster almost eliminates нumanity. We had no chance. We were unprepared. We couldn’t know. Or could we… Were there warnings from the ancient ages? “Earth Liberation: The Novel - Part 1” reveals the frightening depth of the in-game conflict by taking you back through Earth’s history. To the times called ‘primal’ by modern scientists. The price for such blindness was Earth.

User Reviews
The game is fairly basic for now. There are only a few missions, and they are fairly short. Note that everything in this review is only true as of December 18, 2016, and might change as the game develops Pros * Great optimization. Game pretty much "flies" * Music is OK * Gameplay is easy to get used to Cons * No save / load system * Buildings can only be placed on specific markers (placed by devs) * Campaign mode only * No voiceovers If devs continue to work on it, the game definitely has potential
Nice strategy! Excellent and fast gameplay. If you want to be the commander of the special unit - must have
I know I don't have much time in this game but I thought I'll make a quick review. I bought this game on 11th Jan 2018, I liked the concept of the game plus I like RTS games. So would I recommend this game HELL NO, the last update was back in 28th Feb 2017 this game is dead.
seems dead, no updates on promised stuff + no info from dev its oK if takes time and so on, but in such case say lol.
abandoned.. shame cus it had potential
There are only 9 levels to this game then it says "To be continued". I know it only cost £4.99p but it's only part of the game. This game was released far too soon. What A Let Down.
I want a refund. Game sucks can't even get past mission 7. Resources gather too slow and there is barely any rts affects in the game. I just want a refund.
game is shit
After playing this game for a bit i think that its a huge knockoff off other games already out there. BUT, it has huge potential if they keep going with it. Needs more campaigns than just one, little to no control ovr whats created, in beginning cannot upgrade any of the units which is DESPERATELY needed and is very basic at best. This however does have potential to be better. and i recommend buying when only on sale. It has been one year since the last update and my review because of this has changed to DO NOT BUY..
