I have 0.8 hours on record as of this review, though I did play the demo a little bit too. This is a review for the multiplayer. The game just came out, so I don't know how easy it will be to get matches down the road - but this game is really fun multiplayer. There's tons of customization in your bot and pilot loadout, and multiplayer matches are these epic mind games. You might have a shield bot guarding your other bots and have them all huddle behind it, or go with long range attacks, etc. It's a real mind game and the meta will probably change a lot. You can give orders to your bots before the match although it's not so complex that it's like programming them. You can give them various orders like attack this bot, wait here for 5 seconds, support this other unit, etc. If things go wrong you can hop onto the bot and control it directly. After 5 rounds or so you also both get a powerful mech to fight with. I really hope this game gets a playerbase because it'...

I'm absolutely shocked how a game like this that is reasonably polished and has good production values only has 4 reviews after nearly 2 years since release. So far I've only played through the tutorial and a skirmish match, but from what I've seen the game has good variety, strong replay value (even in single player modes), and a combat model that seems to allow for a high skill ceiling Moreover, this game *feels* complete. It's not an EA title with a dozen missing and half-baked features; it's a full product. For $10, I'd say that's well worth it
This is a terrific game. It's a really interesting action-strategy blend. The matchups are pretty fast, lasting only a few minutes each. Each matchup is played on single-screen - the map for the matchup. There are a bunch of different maps available, with different formats and obstacles. At the start of the matchup, you pick a pilot. Then you essentially prep for the match. 1) you pick your pilot's loadout. Essentially this involves picking skills and abilities. 2) You decide your troop composition and unit placement. Units are built one at a time from available components (affect abilities, stats, how they move, etc.).The pieces have economic/point values that maintain some degree of balance in matches. (In the campaign, the spending decisions become something like an economic management dynamic, where you want to win each match with the minimum expenditure on support.) 3) After placing the units on the map, you program your units to execute strategies (attack, defend, f...
