First time buying on PC - almost identical to mobile. Similar to previous versions. For a management game, one of the best cricket ones around. Is it worth $25; probably not as OVERALL the game hasn't changed much over the past few years. Positives: - Runs well on below par computer, - Large database of players, - Different modes (domestic/international career, tournaments, All-time Greats, scenarios, tournaments) - Day-Night games look good Negatives: - No DRS, - Poor crowd animation, - Hawkeye needs imporving - both animation and player's position - Also no Super Over if T20 ends in a tie. Overall, not worth full price, but still a decent game if you like cricket and management games

In game it's a good ball-by-ball simulation. Outside the game it's pretty much the same as it's been for 20 years. The developer doesn't really expand the gameplay - they add different national competitions to the game which (I expect) expands their market reach and means they sell more copies of what is essentially the same game it's been for 20 years. I get that. But that's pretty much all there is. If you are anything like me then playing in one of these expanded markets adds nothing what-so-ever to my gameplay experience. And that's the problem. These new markets pretty much ARE the only reason to get the new version of the game. That's what they've added, that and updated rosters which really should be in an in game editor by now. So - If you are interested in Pakistan domestic league you can now play it. It plays exactly the same as every other league - but the players names are correct and the logos are close (though not correct) and the rules of the league are quite acc...

Really boring if you have the 2016 version or 2015 one don't waste your money they are the same. If you really want it wait for a steam sale

You know what you're getting from this - pretty much Cricket Captain 2013 with updated databases, and minor tweaks. Desperately in need of a change up to keep it fresh, or a half decent rival, to keep Chris and team on their toes. Loved the series for years, but it hasn't appeared to have improved since 2013 - just a cash cow churned out each year. Even an editor would freshen it up a bit.

It's okay. As someone said, it's been pretty much the same since 2013 (worse than FM). But hey, it is the only cricket sim out there, so I am giving it positive.

This is going to be the last Cricket Captain game I'm going to buy. It's also the first I've had to return. It's sad, really sad. But for the last few years, these games have been unplayable, overpriced, and the way that Childish Things have handled the selling and development of the games has been borderline unethical. CC2017 is no different - literally - to the volumes before it, it is exactly the same game with exactly the same issues as the last four volumes at least. To charge so much for what amounts to little more than an update to 2013 is appalling and the company's refusal to listen to its fans, who want nothing more than to see this series regain some sense of quality, is just stupid. Some specific issues: quantity rather than quality in expanding the competition lists rather than looking into improving the game as a whole; a bias towards England and the game's markets that see smaller teams suffer in quality and England, Australia, and India incredibly overpowered; poor re...

It's a good game. Always has been. The only new things in this version though are a few new leagues and updated squad lists. Same story every year. Considering that the mobile version of exactly the same game is less than a third of the price and is exactly the same, this is a big rip-off. If you're new to this franchise, get an old version for your PC or better still, just get the mobile version. It's a good game but this version is a rip-off.
