About This Game

Now available on MacOS (note: dedicated graphics card is *highly recommended* for the best experience)
“Stories Untold” is a narrative-driven experimental adventure game, that bends the genre into something completely unique. Combining a mix of classic text-adventure, point-and-click and more, 4 short stories are packaged together into a single mysterious anthology that has been described as “a fantastic, fascinating example of interactive visual storytelling” (Telegraph 5/5) and earning widespread critical acclaim since release.
The game pulls together 80s retro nostalgia, innovative and experimental genre-defying gameplay, and tense, phycological horror to create “one of the most fascinating and unique tales you can play this year” (GameSpew 9/10).
The first Episode “The House Abandon” is now available for free via a demo, to give you a glimpse of what is in store in the full game.
“Stories Untold” was developed by No Code, a Glasgow based ex-AAA development team headed up by Jon McKellan (Alien: Isolation) and Omar Khan.
Features:
- Four unique stories, with their own settings, gameplay and mechanics.
- Play mind-bending text adventures, process radio transmissions and conduct experiments on bizarre artifacts
- Gorgeous retro-aesthetic brings back vivid memories, or a glimpse into what was.
- Sublime synth-wave horror soundtrack, inspired by 80s horror soundtracks.
- Achievements to unlock, and narrative secrets to discover
- Genre-hopping: from psychological horror, to tense mystery and terrifying sci-fi; Stories Untold is truly “4 stories, 1 nightmare”.

this game confuse me at first, but the longer i play, the more curios and aware what this game means the first episode is the best one the writing mechanic is interesting and the story is creepy in some way at first it was calm and then everything change, my guard up and expecting something in the way and it was my fault? the second episode is new mechanic, i have to look at the manual to navigate and operate the machine there's weird heart and i have to do something as ordered and everything change again now i am unite with "them"? the third episode is mysterious and bit more harder the manual is more tiny and so hard to read also, i have to listening some weird code with different way of telling and at last i can move now in this episode, even thought the background is blurry there's something going to hunt me ? the last episode is conclusion and explanation from all the episode it mix all episode mechanic into one it was eerie especially in the hospital scene, like i've bee...
One of the best typing games
I have just finished story 1: the pinnacle, the one everyone raves about. It was recommended to me as a puzzle game with atmospheric horror. Well it's plenty atmospheric, but it's not a puzzle game. If I had to describe it succinctly, Id say it's a short, interactive story. Very short. Despite lacking a ton of interaction points, it doesn't have a consistent design for interaction. It insists that figuring out the prompts is half the fun, but honestly that sounds like cope in lieu of an overarching design philosophy. Since interaction is so limited and so sparse, it's not a big deal, but its also the reason they could have easily bothered to do a bit better there. I write this as a big fan of horror genre across all media. I watch horror movies, I read horror novels, and I play horror games. As a reader of horror novels, I'm not overtly impressed by the atmosphere-building in this game, given that it is a medium that seems inherently more immersive to people and less reliant on peopl...
There may be a few passages that are a little laborious, but the concept is really gripping and the plot is really good.
Loved the game. Brilliant story, mechanics, game design. Loved the mixture of text based exploration and actual walking around. Definitely worth picking up on sale - I don't think it is quite worth the full price. You can easily beat it in one attempt and a play through will take less than 2 hours.
Great short stories. I gotta admit the first one was my favourite and I wish it was more focused on it. The whole thing is great and very unique. When on sale it's usually very very cheap.
