I Must add that this is hands down the best presentation and example of a 360 video ever! presentation animation voice narration organization menu ease of use I give this a 10/10. It's a $8.99 movie ticket and boy it doesn't even feel like a movie. It looks like everything is rendered on a high end pc. The video is so appropriate for all ages.

About This Game
ROLL UP, ROLL UP...
COME INSIDE AND EXPERIENCE THE UNIVERSE LIKE NEVER BEFORE...
LET US TAKE YOU ON A JOURNEY THROUGH TIME AND SPACE.
This 360°, 3D, high-framerate experience seeks to answer some of the biggest questions of all time. What are we made of? Where did it all come from? Explore the secrets of our cosmic chemistry, our explosive origins and connect life on Earth to the evolution of the Universe.
We join the Time Master narrated by Hollywood superstar Andy Serkis, a Victorian gent with his very own time tent who whisks us off on a 13.8 billion year adventure.
With expert input from leading scientists, cosmologists, astrophysicists, astrochemists, planetary scientists and astrobiologists we present humanity's current understanding of where everything, including us, came from.
The soundtrack features an original immersive score by acclaimed New Zealand composer Rhian Sheehan.
We Are Stars is produced by NSC Creative, The Immersive Storytelling Studio based at the National Space Centre, UK.
Supports Oculus Rift and HTC Vive headsets with controller support for Vive, Oculus remote, Xbox Controller and Keyboard.
Please note, this VR experience is not interactive, it is a 25 minute 360° film pre-rendered at ultra high quality 4k x 4k resolution, stereoscopic 3D, high-frame rate.

It is a 25 Minutes long (dont know why it says 1.4 hours) 360 Video about the creation of the universe, from the big bang to... well, more or less now. While it is a good 360 Video, it is just still that, and not "true" VR. I personally just expected more, more beautiy, more action, more... I dont know, it was quiet boring for me. You also have to install some codecs for best graphics and the movement can give you nice motion sickness. It is not a bad buy, but I still can not really recommend it, not even for the 5 € I paid on summersale. I now have nearly 300 VR games and experiences, this one is not one of the crap and garbage category, but medicore at best. Sorry for any grammar or spelling mistakes, as English is not my mother tongue.
Absolutely stunning. I was aprehensive about paying for a VR experience which is essentially just a stereoscopic video. However, the quality and execution is perfect. Im sure this will inspire a lot of young minds and it is worth every penny!
Perhaps I should have read the disclaimer first...but that doesn't mean it is worth the asking price. My PC was unable to play the content at 4k. So I watched the SD version. 25 minutes of animation, voice over and storytelling that left me feeling like it is definitely not worth $8.99 and most certainly not the full price. Perhaps 99c would be a more reasonable ask.
Impressive when paired with 4k at 60fps. Totally enjoyed the experience.
While VR is going to have some impact on education, this wont be it. We Are Stars isn't BAD per se, but it's certainly lacking something - it feels somewhere between what VR education should be, and a 3D movie. The biggest detractor for me was the camera being used in traditional film-style; in an attempt to get the best looking shot, they take control away from the user. There were quite a number of times that I was wanting to shift my view, to look at something underneath what was being displayed, only to find that the entire world shifted with me, causing a little nausia. Perhaps this was my fault, in not realising it wwas strictly a seated experience. It's enjoyable, but nothing groundbreaking. Full price (£10.99 at the moment) is certainly pricey for what it is.
This has become one of my favorite VR experiences and a favorite with my friends that I demo for. If you like documentaries and have an interest in the history of the universe then you'd probably love this. I didn't have any problem with the 4k codecs like some other reviewers so you might want to do your research beforehand and make sure you can run them(as non-4k is a little rough). Overall great presentation, solid narration, interesting subject matter. 10/10 would travel the stars with Andy Serkis again!
If you like science and like to learn about the history of the universe and how man came to be, then you'll like this. Pretty much 25 to 30 mins of a well written and presented educational VR production. Not sure if I would pay the non sale price of 15 usd, but the sale of 9 usd was ok. 5 usd would have been as golden as the gold created from supernovas. VR is what makes this unique. You can watch stuff with this info elsewhere. But when a company takes on the task of making a VR show like this is, it's awesome that they made it great. Good job to NSC Creative and I hope they come out with more stuff like this.
Experienced on the Oculus Rift with Oculus remote!!!
This is a 27 minute long 360 stereoscopic 3D cinematic seated experience for VR. There are no interactions. You have the option for standard 1080 30 FPS setup that is 20 GB installed on your hard drive (default option) or a 4K 60 FPS option that is an additional download. I think the extra download (small download from 3rd party website) is worth the effort if your computer can handle it. Unfortunately, when I tried it, the game looked stunningly beautiful but stuttered along the way so I had to go with the standard version. The narrator is Andy Serkis and if the name sounds familiar that's because he's Gollum / Caesar. So obviously the voice work is fantastic. Actually, the whole script is amazing. I already knew most of the story as it's about the story of the universe and where man is from. It's in the title, "We Are Stars", duh! But it's done in a very informative and entertaining matter that's easy to follow. I thin...
EDIT: Had no offer of help to resolve the issue I and another fella was experiencing so found sometime to try a go myself, found by enabling Win7 Compatability mode for the EXE file and by adding it to load as admin this resolved my issue and was able to run the experience. Now that I run this, I did enjoy as you can clearly see the effort that has gone in which is why I now can recommend this, but I kind of disagree with the fact you are asked to venture to a 3rd party site to download codecs to continue, first tech blah blah blah but for anyone remotely suspicious they may reject this request, should really be pulled down as part of the package in my view. My son and I have both enjoyed the walk through and look forward to more of this in more detail, thank you. Would have expected a response of some kind from the devs see as this was release date but seeing as it is XMAS it is the time for forgiveness. Happy to recommend this experience now and the price based on the work that ha...
