User Reviews
DeathMetal is a steampunk Break Out-clone with a some unique ideas when it comes to geometry. As a fan of both Break Out-games and Death Metal, it caught my attention in the store. It didn't deliver on either of them. It has ONE Slayer-esque track and some lackluster powerups. The concept still intrigues me, and I hope the dev keeps working on it, but "as is" it's quite emaciated. There is very little variety and it has more flash than contents. Look at what DX-Ball did 20 years ago.
There is no ball control whatsoever - you cannot control the direction of the bounce at all. A very badly implemented and amatuerish game.
This is a very good arkanoid game for the price. The presentation is polished and the controls are smooth. Fail states are forgiving and quick, allowing you to easily replay the levels. The achievements are mostly very easy to get as well. The gameplay lasts for about 60 minutes, but it is solid fun for that time. If you like this kind of game then this is an entry in the genre worth wasting an hour with. 8/10
Fun little game! Easy achievements and easy to get the game completed.
Read the title and the price. Came to the conclusion: Oh hell YES! Final result: Get this game, there is no excuse.
ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!! I love this game! best metal breaker ever! (it's like brick breaker but better <3) Great music, controls and game play! 10/10!
On the one hand, I dig metal, and I dig breakout. On the other hand, DeathMetal suffers from unpredictable physics, awkward level design, and really, really repetitive music. Even at its low price, I have to rate this a "don't buy".
I'd rather play DX-Ball 2 with some Slayer in the background.
Got it on sale, good graphics and great music, easy to play. Reminded me of Arknoid, I loved that game, so just had to buy. 80's generation would get it why. Kudos to the developer.
