About This Game

Orbit is a gravity simulator at the heart of a puzzle game. Launch planets with a flick of your hand, and try to get them into stable orbits around black holes.

Can you make enough orbits to progress to the next level?

Orbit features a Sandbox where you can create your own levels! Control time, disable collisions, and paint with gravity. Publish your creations to the world for everyone to play.

Features

 • 45 free levels, with new mechanics are introduced over time — like repulsive black holes and planets with their own gravity that attract each other
 • Play community-created levels — virtually limitless content made by other players, all completely free
 • Launch as many planets as you like, and watch the mesmerizing orbital mechanics unfold
 • Planets leave colored traces, so that at the end of a level you will have created a beautiful piece of art
 • See the future trajectory of a planet before you launch it
 • Play in an environment of smooth, minimalist graphics while listening to relaxing classical piano

Bought this game after I watched a Youtuber recommend it. Boy was I wrong about this game. First off, do yourself a favor. If you find this review unconvincing and still want to try the game out, go get the same app from the Google Play Store. Not only will you save a few bucks, but you'll also get to not see what happens when indie devs get greedy.
This game is an Android app (free on the Play Store), ported for PC.
I have nothing against PC ports. For example, 'This War of Mine' was a great game that existed both, on mobile and PC, but here's what Orbit did differently that makes this game hard to recommend : [olist] [*] It's a poor port. If you're playing on PC, there's no exit button, and the interface is weird to use. That is because there is absolutely no difference betweeen the Android version and this PC version, which sucks because those are two different platforms with different interface and design in mind. The dev most likely used his game engine/editor and ...

Very relaxing and quite enjoyable, yet can also be quite challenging at times! The sandbox mode is really fuck to mess around with :)

Great game, but not enough player-made levels to play (does it show all of them?). Sandbox is obviously not optimized for the mouse.

Playing this is a relaxing activity. It is a lot more fun than I anticipated to build "universes" in the sandbox mode and simulate stuff around them. Getting some screenshots to share some of the crazier arrangements is a pretty nice touch.

Keep it for the phone or make it proper! Game doesn't even have a EXIT option!

I launched this game and spent 45 mins not completing a single campaign level LOL. Instead I was hopping around between random user-created levels. I casted to a friend as I was playing and pretty much every "random" level entertained us for far longer than I'd expected. I really believe in this game's "infinite content" sell, the sandbox seems to be powerful enough and the users creative enough that I can't imagine ever running out of quirky things to see. It's a gravity sim after all, and gravity is beautifully chaotic.

This game is absolutely stunning. The addictiveness and simplicity that characterizes this game somehow made me play 7 hours straight yesterday. I highly recommend if you're into puzzles games. It's fun playing with gravity :). It get's challenging later on, but feels awesome when you actually get it down.

It's been a while since I've played a game where I can just sit down and not think about the game. For a puzzle game, that doesn't sound like a good idea. But, in Orbit, it just works. Somehow. You feel like you are part of the game. You understand everything, and how things are supposed to be put together. It takes some trial and error, especially in the later levels, but it all makes sense. But why did I mention not thinking about the game? It lets your mind wander. You think about the thoughts you haven't thought in years. The people you haven't spoken to since high school. The "what if"s in life. You're looking at a while screen, watching multi-colored orbs orbit black orbs with numbers in them. And it unlocks your mind. You unconsciously think of what you do in the level, while you consciously think about everything else. And I'm glad to play a game like that again. Short & serious review time: It's a short, albeit fun puzzle game revolving around gravity and orbiting planet...

Bought the game and the levels were alright but there was no exit button so I had to leave using task manager, second time I booted up the game none of the levels loaded (Not even the title screen). Make it work and I'll play it
