Labyrinths of the World: Shattered Soul is a typical game which tries to be great and fails in its execution. The theme is a common one of a meglomaniac wanting to rule the world and capturing your sister who is his assistant in his lab. He has stolen her soul and scattered it into different worlds. You do have to suspend belief, but it is well done. Graphics are gorgeous and high standard, music was good and fitted into the game well. The downside was the execution of the game. The cut scenes were clunky and blurry and at times went black. When anything went into your dossier, the notification stopped the game dead. Very clunky controls. In the bonus chapter, the map didn't tell you where action needed to be done. It is a pity because if these mechanics had been running smoothly, the game would have been very high quality. At this moment, it was very frustrating at times and ruined my enjoyment. 6.7/10

Game Information "Labyrinths of the World: Shattered Soul" Collector's Edition is a Hidden Object Puzzle Adventure game. The game was developed by Domini Games and published by Big Fish Games Studio. "Shattered Soul" is the first episode of "Labyrinths of the World." Since this is a collector's edition, it comes with extra features that are not available in its counterpart; the standard edition. The Game Review Game Visuals I want to mention that the visuals in the game are nicely done. The visuals can be adjusted in the game's option menu. Game Audio I want to mention that the audio in the game is well done even if it is simplistic and somewhat repetitive. Gameplay There are four different difficulty game modes to choose from: Casual; Advanced; Hardcore and Custom. The notebook keeps track of progression in the game. Such as story events and clues. There is an interactive map in the game. It allows the player to fast travel between each location...
Labyrinths of the World: Shattered Soul Collector's Edition is a promising classic H.O.G. and it completely fullfilled its goal as I did enjoy both my playthroughs. Many aspects of the game were appreciated : its mini-games difficulty level (ranking from easy to average, with seldom tedious tries!), the H.O.Scenes (easy but quite beautiful), the whole art-style, the feeric world and the pace of the game. As well as there are beautiful HO Scenes, there definitely are interesting puzzles/mini-games. There is a bonus chapter. All in all the length of the game is quite fair. To conclude Labyrinths of the World: Shattered Soul Collector's Edition is a pleasant casual Hidden Objects Game with nice graphics and a relaxing music. Although I encountered a tiny problem with unlocking the achievements (due to my own bad), first leading me to a negative review, I now do recommend it to anyone looking for a classic & family-friendly H.O.G. with a magical atmosphere...
Highly recommended for any hidden object / puzzle / adventure (HOPA) fan. Your sister is working for a genius scientist and has invited you to come visit at his laboratory/castle. Strangely, she is missing, and the scientist is most certainly not a nice guy. Find your way into four very different (and creative) worlds, and save them from his evil plotting. Pros: - lovely art - voice acting is generally good ** - puzzles are varied and of varying levels - good number of HO scenes - good pacing - Steam achievements! - nice bonus chapter ** I preferred that character mouths/lips didn't move; much better than poor lip synching once I was used to it Cons: - the villain is very villainous and says "you can't stop me" a lot (just go with it) - you really have to suspend your disbelief for using the flamethrower; trust me on this ;) - sometimes feels like a slightly older game in terms of overall interface and graphics - collectibles are used for "boudoir" (masks) and "museum" (coins); a *v...
Very silly story, but a nice mix of puzzles and HOPs. There's no achievement for doing all of them, so that's a relief, because some of the puzzles are actually pretty hard. There's also a strategy guide if you get really stuck. Buy it on sale.
I was very pleasantly surprised by this HOG. I thought that it was very well implemented with a lot of nice features like collectibles, a map that would take you to places you can do things, a bonus chapter and a strategy guide. The hidden object scenes were easy to view (so many HOGs have poorly rendered ones) plus there were lots of other puzzles to do. The graphics were fine and I liked the voice acting. I'm using windows 10 and had no issues with either game play or achievements getting awarded (I didn't get a few of the ones that require you to be speedy but I don't think I was speedy enough to, got everything else OK). The storyline is about travelling to a number of different fantasy words to save your sisters soul - typical HOG things to do. You develop a few powers (or gifts) along the way that let you levitate, fill with water, burn etc. Not a bad storyline at all. I completely enjoyed playing this - I wish they would add trading cards!
This is one of my favorite hidden object games (and I've played dozens and dozens of them). I can't even say why exactly. It was very fun.It has the standard flow and game play as the average hidden object (map, inventory, etc.)Pros: Many of the mini-games were not just the standard ones you see over and over (or some might have been, but a new twist was added). There was enough back and forth to make it interesting, but it was contained so you weren't hunting through dozens of areas. I really don't care that much about the story, but I liked this one and how they tied the crazy things of a hidden object game into it. A bug plus was that it wasn't merely 3 hours long! I give a thumbs down to any hidden object game that is less than 5 hours unless it's really cheap. This one was 7 hours (and that even though I skipped maybe 5 mini-games).Cons: Though I really loved this one, nothing is perfect. One annoying thing was that whenever you found a collection item, a popup would appear that w...
Very good game. Nice story and colorful graphics. The puzzles are entertaining. Recommended.
I liked this game. It has a solid story and very good gameplay. Pros: + Fast travel map + Beautiful graphics
I have played, and will play, only two of these Labyrinths games - the only two with achievements. They are both good - this one is better. Good art, mini-games, and HOPs. I wish Big Fish would add achievements to thier 100+ games without them - then I would buy 100+ more of their games instead of zero.
