After thirteen hours of Rescue Your Chickens, I am in no way able to create a review that can do justice to the beauty of this "game." I use the word game in quotes because really, Rescue Your Chickens is no game, it is not even a piece of art. No. Rescue Your Chickens is a heart throbbing reflection of the hardships we face, not only as individuals but a community as a whole. This game calls into question what it exactly means to be moral, ripping apart what we today think of the natural world and replacing it with something novel, something horrifying, something myistifying. It brings tears to my eyes to say that I was unable to finish this game. At some point, I just had to stop. The natural world that I had taken for granted, the same world that I had found harmless at the start had become too dangerous. THE SQUIRRELS... THE SQUIRRELS... THE SQUIRRELS... An animal so benign had suddenly become malignant, and their bullets of rejection and sorrow constantly grazed my cold, feather...
