I love this kind of mahjong game and have bought several for various devices over the years. But as it stands with the control scheme, I can't recommend this game. The word "relaxing" is in the title, but the control scheme makes you point with your nose and click with your finger. Moving your head all over is anything but relaxing. What's also strange is as you rotate your head, the entire board rotates as well. Couple that with a very strange parallax effect on the world if you happen to move side by side. Please add some kind of real touch controller support. That'd go a long way for making this fun and actually relaxing. You could actually sit back in a chair and play the game. As it is, it's a head bobbing game.

This game is not really Mahjong. It's a matching tile game with mahjong tiles as an option. You can also change the option to more cartoony tiles that will be easier to match. Pros: 1. Awesome sounds (music and enviornmental sounds, both very chill) 2. Very beautiful backgrounds environments 3. Simple, relaxing gameplay Cons: 1. Only two environments and they are static (no movement, especially on the second environment, you can see the water is a still photo and it kind of takes away from the otherwise awesomeness of the setting) 2. Even though the sounds are great, would be nice to also have an option to listen to my own music 3. You're just matching tiles in the end, would have loved to learn how to play Mahjong Rating 6/10 I do recommend for the price, just know what you're getting for your money
My personal wish list for this game: A koi pond with fish moving that you can see, hell you could be under water, either way this would be awesome
Game is relaxing, you can turn off music and hear nature sounds, could use more virtual environments, only two to choose from. No instructions on controls had to figure out how to use but Oculus touch is supported, point head and one button and click. Over all good game for the low price...

Why is this even on Steam?

50 cents wasted, oh well. I didn't even check to see if this was for HTC Vive, but when it didn't work I saw it was only for Oculus... not sure why it is on Steam not just the Oculus Store... There is a note in the game for playing on desktop by closing your VR before launching but that didn't work, much like the "full controller support" which doesn't respond at all, meanwhile I can do some navigation with the keyboard even though that isn't listed as an input device.

Relaxing VR Games: Mahjong is some real lazy shovelware from Daedalic, who really should know better, but I guess if they want to burn their brand by associating it with trash then this is as good a way as any. As it says right on the box, this is a Mahjong (tile matching, not tile/cardgame) game that is VR exclusive. What does VR bring to the old formula of tile matching Mahjong? Nothing. And that, co-incidentally, is the exact value this game has for gamers. This seems to have been made a VR exclusive to prevent any comparison with non-VR 3D games, a comparison that this game would fail very badly at. Developers must learn that while VR is great, if the only thing that makes the game great is the VR, then the game isn't great at all. VR aside, for all intents and purposes "Relaxing VR Games: Mahjong" might as well be a mobile app, it has the same limitations and dumbed down qualities. It's impossible to recommend such a game to PC gamers. We don't spend all this money buildi...

This is a perfectly functional and smooth-running game, but I still can't endorse it, even under $1. First of all, this isn't Mahjong. It's Mahjong solitaire. It runs on Oculus Rift only, as the description states. I thought that won't affect streaming to Quest, but I was wrong. The two scenes are nice, but low resolution and they don't have any motion (like a babbling brook that is frozen in time). VR brings nothing to this game, in fact they have compensate for it by tilting the board as you look at different areas so tiles don't get covered up. That's not nauseating, but what is nauseating is the HMD only tracks rotation, not movement, so you're head will be moving left or right, but the world around you doesn't reflect that. The only options are to turn sounds off (not even a volume controller).
