Wandersong is like a warm hug from a loved one that lasts just a little bit too long and your body starts to ache. It is a mechanically simple platformer that boasts a heartwarming message, a beautiful soundtrack by Gordon McGladdery, and what I felt were some issues with its pacing throughout the latter half of the game. There were also some unexpected moments sprinkled throughout the game that did well to add some much appreciated depth to the two main characters. Great sense of comedic timing and writing, to boot. Overall, my gripes with the game are minor, and Wandersong remained a pleasant journey from start to finish.

Beautiful game that gripped me way harder than expected. Go into this blind, please.
Do you like Night in the Woods but wished there was more to do than run around and talk to people, perhaps something like a simple puzzle mechanic involving your bass that also interacts with the world just for fun? Wandersong delivers. Do you like when your main character starts out happy go lucky, but then faced with a cruel and dying world is required to have more emotional growth, and needing support to maintain their optimism? Wandersong And the best character in this game is Miriam, who starts out grumpy and combative, working to save the world despite not being the chosen one, gets despondent that everything she tries doesnt work while the MC SEEMS to not struggle finally giving up and just dancing her emotions out before having a serious talk with the MC about both of their issues and growing as people. Still the same person at the end of the game, just with more depth and new friend (or more if u want to think so). A massively underrated game that i recommend to anyone wh...
One of my favorite games of all time. Cute art, fun characters, and a great story.
I cannot put to words how good this experience was. In such a tumultuous time as 2025, there could not be a more perfect and uplifting game to play than this one. It has such a simple and genuine message of positivity and kindness. The characters are so adorable and feel so alive. Every act of the game has such a well thought out color palette. The music is so beautiful and tearjerking (Wind Sonata especially). Each puzzle in the game is not too challenging, but is such a treat to complete. I have never seen a ~10 hour game that is as dense with care and detail as Wandersong is. This is a silly game, a whimsical game, a beautiful game. I just completed everything and I already wish I could play this again for the first time. Bonus, if you're a musician with sound/color synesthesia this game will tickle your musical bones in every way.
This game's soul is as beautiful as Journey or Spiritfarer. I balled my eyes out. 9/10 game. The only real problem is a jumping bug. You gotta go into option mid game a couple times during gameplay and toggle the v-sync and the auto-adjust on and off. The whole thing would have been fine if they just added in a double jump or something. I streamed it and it put a lot of people off immediately because of how it looks, but that's part of its charm, and I was willing to die alone on this hill. The Finale did not disappoint in the slightest <3
MOTHER vibes
This is my favorite game. It's what I turn to when everything is starting to hurt too much and I need to be reminded that I'm not alone. That there's a whole world out there and there's still hope despite being told and shown otherwise. That we have to choose love and kindness. That we have to sing and dance and we don't have to do things the way they've always been done. We can be different, we should be different.
First game in a long time with an ending that made me cry. This game is seriously one of the most underrated games ever, and I personally think more people should play it. I love how the game tries to make you feel like you're not the hero by introducing a different character that all the achievements center around rather than the achievements being earned by the character you play as. 10/10, beautiful game, I loved it!
wow ok so im crying
