Alicemare is considered one of the “classic” RPGM games, but many people get confused because the game’s engine (Wolf RPG) is similar to RPGM, which is understandable. Let me start with the story. It’s actually pretty well written, except it has one big glaring issue: the climax of the story seems too cryptic to understand clearly unless you look at every little detail or read some kind of explanation. It’s pretty straightforward until, as I said before, the climax. It’s not my cup of tea, but there may be some people who like this kind of story. Gameplay is the usual story-driven puzzle game style. I’ve seen some people dislike the puzzles in this game, but I think if you think about them (or take notes) for a little while, they’re pretty solvable. I really liked them. Other than that, it’s the usual walk, gather items, and solve puzzles type of gameplay. The music complements the game really well, but I think its volume becomes really high at some points, which m...

Those with an aversion to horror need not worry; this title only includes subtle touches of the genre here and there.
There are no survival-horror elements to the gameplay nor the story, and you can rest assured that the only thing keeping you up at night will be your enjoyment of the game.

User Reviews
A really interesting take on the classic fairy tails with the characters, pretty interesting puzzles and a really nice art style, a pretty good horror game. 8/10
Boring puzzles for pretty mid cryptic lore
An interesting, small RPG. Doesn't take long to beat, and definitely worth the time if you have a couple hours to burn.
Had already played it years ago. A classic. When I was younger I didn't explore all the endings. Love the way the lore expands, and the music, and all the references to classic tales. Comfort game
Great cheap game with good story. :)
