This is an interesting VR experience that puts you into a series of environments related to the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor back in 1941. You start out in a 1941-era home, hearing FDR's speech about the attack on the radio and can walk around the room, examining the various objects. Certain mementos are highlighted and will trigger narration from a veteran who survived the attack. Next, you move onto Pearl Harbor itself, where you can observe the damage to numerous ships, crashed aircraft, etc. Finally, you go to the veteran's modern home in Colorado Springs, where he reflects further on his experiences, such as meeting the Japanese man who led the attack on Pearl Harbor. Overall it is a tastefully done tribute to the Pearl Harbor attack. I found it very interesting, although I wish it had included more content, such as accounts from other veterans or more scenes around Pearl Harbor. That said, the scenes that were provided were of very high quality and this is one of the be...

About This Game
Told in three acts, the story is told through the point of view of Lt. James Downing, who at 103 is the second-oldest living American veteran to have witnessed that day. As postmaster of the USS West Virginia, Downing gave himself the task of writing letters to the families of men who died or were injured during the attack; those letters form an arc that the user follows through Downing’s experience of Dec. 7, 1941. In an American home of 1941, we hear from Downing about how the coming of war affected everyone in the U.S.; at Pearl Harbor after the attack, we see the breadth of the destruction; and in the present day, we learn how the experience has stayed with him for 75 years. Throughout the experience, users interact with realistic virtual versions of artifacts from the time, along with iconic photography and archival video, providing a unique and personal view of one of American history’s defining moments.
This experience was created in collaboration with the WWII Museum and the Library of Congress who provided expertise, artifacts, and primary sources; and with award-winning historian Craig Nelson as historical advisor. The experience has been created to be appropriate for audiences of all ages. It was produced by Deluxe VR in partnership with HTC and AMD.

For history buffs and especially WWII history buffs, this is quite good. The room scenes are amazingly rendered and listening to Lt. James Downing narrate what was happening is quite moving. This is an interesting exploration into delivering a history lesson in VR. I would like to have experienced more scenes from the boats and the surrounding areas. As a VR based history lesson, quite good.
This is a huge rip off. The whole thing does not take even 30 min. Look at the "hrson record" of other reviewers. I bouth at -75% so I will not be requesting a refund. If I had paid the full price, I would be really upset. There is nothing impressive about this title.
someones makin money on this(they got mine)....It could have been better. Its nothing to brag about.
Nice experience. Scale could be better, and perhaps some more action scenes, but fun for a small price.
Amazing, definately worth the money even if it is short. It's worth it. I just wish there was more as it's pretty great!
Awsome, must see.
A sensitive recreation of a momentous and horrific event. Whats done is very well made and portrayed, but is too bitty, fragmented and brief to be truly effective. It works fairly well on the Valve Index.
