10/10 It’s the best hunting game on the market, the maps and animals are simply breathtaking. The weapons feel great, and the rare animals add an amazing grind.

This game has a lot of DLC content which is tedious to need to buy all of them, but is frequently on sale. And you dont need to buy the content to play the maps in multiplayer, although you do need to buy them to do the story. Lot of different ways to hunt, different guns to use and animals to shoot. I would definitely recommend this game to someone who enjoys hunting games!

Walked 3 miles in-game to track a deer. Crawled through bushes for 10 minutes. Took the shot. [u]Missed[/u]. 10/10 would scare off all the animals again. Gorgeous world, chill vibes, occasional moose jump-scares. Not for adrenaline junkies, but perfect if your idea of fun is hiking with extra steps (and a rifle). Atleast the DLC costs aren't too bad and to be fair, there aren't many other good semi-realistic hunting games out on the market that look and play as good as this (other than theHunter Classic). 8.5/10 Recommend ✅

I have 132 hrs in HCOTW and ive come back to it from time to time over the years. It really is a great game if it what your looking for. For a lot of people there is a learning curve and it can be boring so be careful before you jump into it. It can be a walking simulator alot of times. However, if you enjoy this kind or are a hunter in real life I think you will appreciate the heck outta this game. No other game does ambiance like this one, this one in 15mins flat will get you immersed. Sound quallity and graphics quality are superb. The graphics are a little dated but hold up extremely well in 2025. The devs are one of the most caring teams out there in a sea of bad development teams and actually listen to their customer base. The DLC is a little out of control i wont lie, its a lot. Play it if you’ve got the patience to roam around and chill in the forest for hours. Or maybe it’s just a skill issue

I can genuinely say this game is one of my favorites. I have never hunted in my life and probably never will /but/ if you are an animal lover you can appreciate the time and care they put into the creatures of this game. The models, furs, variations are striking and it keeps me coming back for more just to see!! (Accurate? Probably not but makes for an incredibly rewarding experience when you find these beautiful animals!!) Gameplay can stagnate at times and the bugs can be frustrating (shot registration crazy sometimes ngl) but it is 100% worth a try!

Great game for hunting. Physics are incredible, weapons are really like from a real life, one shots are possible. Iam enjoying this game and I would recommend to anybody and everybody who likes to roam around the open world game and just hunt with strategy. 10/10
