Just Cause 4 is not very much fun. I really liked Just Cause 3. I guess I'll just go back and play that again.

Took me five years to complete the story, damn was it disappointing.
Just Cause 4 is all about causing chaos — explosions, wingsuits, grappling hooks, and crazy physics. The open world is huge and fun to mess around in, but the story and characters aren’t super memorable. The tornado and weather systems are cool in theory, but they don’t change the gameplay that much. It’s not the deepest game out there, but if you're just looking to blow stuff up and mess around with over-the-top tools, it’s a fun time.
It's not a bad game, but it's not a good game either. Vehicle controls are floaty and imprecise, especially aerial vehicles, since the dumbed down mouse movements for the helicopters cause oversteer, and planes are really stiff. That brings me to the vehicle weaponry. Most weapons seem identical across categories, for example, the cannons across all vehicles, be it light tank or artillery truck, feel identical, with a comically fast reload rate. It makes everything feel the same, especially when the life-span of vehicles are about 10 seconds, which is extremely frustrating. You also have the issue of the third-person camera's aim being offset, so if you don't have the target in the crosshair, the round might just miss by a mile. This is especially noticeable with the Anti-Air vehicle, which doesn't seem to be specialised at all. Restrictive elevation on the guns, low fire-rate (the same cannons as the tanks I believe, but 2), and compounded by the aiming issue mentioned, hitting enem...
Wouldn't it be for the atrocious controls, the enemies with instant hitscan accuracy and the fact one constantly feels like in FarCry (never knowing where the hell the enemy is, making all those powers and gadgets useless) - this game would be a rock solid, fun experience.
It's fun, keeps you engaged and you get to kill lots of fascists!
I almost wish Steam had a "recommend if on sale for xx%", but since not I had to vote No. This one was frustrating, as there are clear improvements that are overshadowed by confusing downgrades. PROS - gunplay feels quicker and a little more frantic - enemies move around more, especially helicopters, feel a bit more aggressive - visuals are pretty, if oversaturated - the tether is a little snappier when transitioning to a landing CONS - no more base liberation (this was what I did the most JC3; re-oppress and fast travel to capture bases again, it was the main challenge of the game) - challenges are basically gone. Instead of a full, beautiful wingsuit course, you have literally have "fly through 3 rings in less than 9 seconds". Instead of a race, you have "pass through this ring over 150 km/h". These are a joke I would expect from a single-person indie game, especially after JC3 - no longer have remote mines - only two weapons can be equipped at once; no longer have du...
The wingsuit and traversal was a lot easier to maneuver in this game compared to Just Cause 3. But I think it is a fine JC game even if the plotline kinda gets reused. I pretty much just turn my brain off and start causing mayhem with plenty of ways to do so.
It's really not good. Sometimes the physics impress and the spectacle can be fun, but the game is mostly bug-laden and ugly to look at.
I used the mech to send a black hand up and he got hit by a plane
