Celeste is my favorite game of all time, bar none, and it has been since I first played it six years ago on my Switch. Even after hundreds of hours of playing this game, I can see myself playing this game for hundreds of hours more without tiring of it. Its story, art style, music, and gameplay make it an experience that is hard to forget. STORY Celeste's story is probably its most captivating aspect on a first playthrough. Though it doesn't necessarily have most complex narrative, Celeste's characters are well-written and memorable, and its emotional moments are deeply moving, despite the story's simplicity. My favorite part of the story is that instead of simply existing alongside the visuals, music, and gameplay, it is accentuated by these other aspects of the game more so than I find many other games' stories to be. VISUALS People often talk about pixellated graphics in games as if they are inherently inferior to games with more realistic graphics. I find Celeste to be a compel...

game good. transgender good. transgender character has nothing to do with the game being good. why do people focus on that
Peak soundtack, peak gameplay (pun intendeed). Very well desinged and challegning platforming, with a compelling story to acompany the climb.
The most clear game I've ever played for "I am now better at this game than I used to be" Also when you get to move fast you feel so cool (I should mention that I have hundreds of hours in this game outside of Steam)
good game to play during school, and very fun and later challenging platformer
Persistence & Resilience.
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3556704655
This game was part of the Deep Sale at Summer Sale 2024. I asked on the discussion tab, "Should I play?" and someone gave me an answer that interesting, "It depends a lot on why you want to play. Playing Celeste is like climbing the mountain. Do you want to get on top? Do you want to see if you are able to do it? To which point? Do you need to prove yourself something? It could be a lot. For me, it’s self-reflection. But I also play the game to push over my limits and overcome something personal that I have promised myself to do once I've beaten the game to 100%. Worth playing definitely but it's hard and everyone can have a very different experience." Then there was this lyric from a song by Mike Posner, "Live Before I Die". He said, "I walked to become someone I'm actually proud of." So I decided to play. I started on July 9th, 2024. F...
A great game I'm sure, just not a game for me. Doing tricky platforming, while being chased, across several rooms without mid-chase autosaves, is not my idea of a good time. In fact that sequence made me bounce off this game harder than any other game I can remember.
Very fun game :D The difficulty can be a bit of a spike in some areas, but if you have patience you'll get through the main story just fine The story is amazing, I'm not gonna say anything to spoil it tho :> There's plenty of side content, although most of it is hard as balls lol The game also has a huge modding community too, so if you get bored of the base game you can always turn Madeline into Niko from OneShot or play a whole new fanmade campaign, just to name a few mods, although there's still plenty of content if you aren't into modding. I highly recommend this game, I don't normally give games a numbered rating bc I think that's stupid but if I did it would be at least a 9/10 The only issue I had is that the game crashed multiple times while I was playing, it wasn't too bad but it was still annoying :<
If you don't like this game, ur kinda weird this game, after about 3 hours, became my second favourite game, after Hollow Knight. I love the platforming, I like the subtle mental health elements in there of anxiety and self doubt, and I also like how it supports the LGBTQ community, with the madeline being a transwoman
Good game, but somehow lags and crashes all the time on my PC that i'd consider quite good. Wtf
